So I was talking to @LTLakerFan, and he was saying he liked the Home Gold theme all bright gold, so I want to get some opinions. I already started tweeking it to be less bright yellow in the discussion pages, but haven't started working on the forum list pages, ect. But do all of you prefer it bright yellow? Please let me know if I should change the discussion pages back to a brighter gold.
Ha ha I just barely came across all this stuff for the first time, completely blew by me last month somehow. I only have one like to give, but here, take it.
Well right now on my phone and computer the actual posting spaces inside each thread in the Home Gold scheme is "white" with black type. I was saying white background is my least favorite, and Home Gold reads well. If you think it is too bright a yellow or gold maybe mellow it just a little bit? To me the Home Gold is the easiest on my eyes considering I don't like harsh white on forums. Boring. Road Purple is freaking gorgeous but a little harder to read, same thing with Lakers Nights. Sunday Whites is cool because it's not all white and appropriate Lakers colors on perimeter. I go there when I need to read what the heck I'm typing in subject fields and on Game Time but don't stay there.
I only ever use Sunday Whites. Much easier to follow the threads for me the way they read on this one, and it's the easiest on my eyes. I wouldn't change a thing about it. That said I use LB %99.9 of the time on my iPhone or iPad, almost never on my laptop, so that might make some difference.
I don't think I need to change anything with Sunday White. It's pretty close to perfect to me. That's why it's the default theme. But I have some plans for other things
I like Sunday Whites so please don't change it. I tend to switch to Lakers Nights when using LB on mobile at night, its a little easier on the eyes at night but the purple is a tad too bright imo.
I'm impressed there's apparently some form of meta data coming with our posts or (?) other method telling Barns how many members are using which color schemes. Hmmm .... what other information is he gathering on us ....can we trust the dude?
Sunday White's not changing as far as I know right now, unless I get a bunch of requests. And that's exactly what Lakers Nights is for. When it's late at night, or in the movie theater before a movie, etc... and you want to check out LB, but the other themes are too bright. I switch to Lakers Nights all the time at night laying in bed, but my default is Road Purple most of the time.
Whoa! Just noticed the new pale and more pale yellow .... to go with the gold and purple ..... instead of white for the posting fields. Well done Sir! If I'm seeing it right on my monitor. I like it! :Headbang: Edit.... Damn, now I'm thinking the lightest shade is simply white? Eyes may be playing tricks with the different shades of gold and yellow next to white?
No, it's a lighter shade of yellow, but I'm still working on it. Had a medical scare with family that has been my priority the past few days.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Check out Home Gold now everyone. I fixed a lot of little things that bugged me, but I had a hard time figuring out. Still a few little changes, but I'm pretty happy with it now.
