The Ravens/Pats game was pretty awesome.

I thought for a second the Ravens were going to pull off that hail mary play.

Defense and running still wins. I so hate the Seahawks, but I just don't see anyone beating them.

Really looking forward to Dallas / GB tomorrow.

Harbaugh went ballistic over the Pats' personnel moves - which seem to be brilliant. They used four OL, declared another player ineligible (on one play RB Vereen!), and threw passes to linemen. I think it's brilliant, and if it's legal kudos to Belichick.

Looking at the Sagarin rankings among playoff teams:
    1. Seattle
    2. New England
    3. Denver
    4. Green Bay
    5. Indy
    (6. Baltimore)
    7. Dallas
    (11. Detroit)
    (13. Arizona)
    (16. Pittsburgh)
    (17. Cinci)
    (18. Carolina)

So six of the lowest ranked seven teams are eliminated. Dallas is next on the chopping block, but personally I'm rooting for Dallas, Denver, or the Pats - in that order. Am I a bandwagon Dallas fan? No. When I lived in Lubbock, Julius Jones was there, so I started following them bc of him - right around the time Romo took over as starter.

That shows why The Grinch is the best coach in The League. Throw in the Edelman play too. For awhile there, I thought the Ravens were just going to run them out of the game by easily taking two 80+ drives for a two TD lead. Pats just came back and never wavered. The way I see it, Peyton Manning will revisit his Waterloo come next weekend.

Agreed. Like Sherman said, all these hurry up offenses are just quick three and outs if you can't keep the sticks moving...

GB's offense is scary, but this is a great game so far.

This Sagarin dude is pretty good. The top five teams remain.

NFC showdown will be #1 vs. #4
AFC will be #2 vs. #3 or #5

That's a catch by Dez. I don't care what the rule is, that is a catch.

Yes it was... I'm sure every football fan would say so. Unless of course, they happen to be Lions fans.

Will a gimpy, out of sorts Rodgers pull a victory in that Seattle din against a dominant, physical Seahawk defense? Short answer...nope.

It was a catch. I'm not a Cowboys fan by any stretch, but that's a damn catch. Had possession on his way down, had both feet in, stretched to get an extra yard and the ground caused the fumble.

    Terrible call.

This was their explanation of the call. A couple things....

1.) "Never had another act common to the game" - So the 3 steps after the catch and diving for the endzone isn't considered an act of the game?
2.) "Entire process of the catch" - How does a player get a thrown ball from point A (Ball in air) to point C (Diving for the endzone)?
    - Answer - He has to catch it

Yep...all the way to Gillette Stadium. Simms described Luck's INTs as punts. I don't think he had a grass stain on his uni today so much so that Del Rio had to dial in blitzes in the end. They could be even more dangerous if they had a real threat in the backfield. Trent Richardson was a "healthy" scratch today for the game. He couldn't displace an ancient Bradshaw for the starting gig or that kid Herron. Jim Brown was right calling him an "ordinary" back scoffing at his high draft status. Now, it looks like he was being complementary.

Trent's failure is truly fantastic. I mean wow to not even get suited up in a playoff game and lose your spot not only to Ahmad Bradshaw, but to Boom Herron and some kid named Tipton? Who the hell is Tipton?

Just really shocking how awful he is. What happened in that rookie season? I mean he wasn't great as a rookie, but he was still pretty good. Now he's just completely terrible.

Great game out of the Colts though. Strong defense and Luck was brilliant offensively. Like you said: he was barely touched today. Luck is routinely smacked around and I think he had only two or three hits laid on him today. If you give him that much time, he'll rip you up.

Correct call to a stupid rule.

As for Manning, clearly the greatest regular season QB ever. But when the lights shine their brightest, he's blinded. So many other QBs in the league today I'd take over him in the playoffs.

Here's a list of all the players who have, since 1990, rushed the ball at least 600 times and averaged below 3.4 yards per carry.

    1. Trent Richardson 3.31
    2. Brett Favre 3.06

(Karim Abdul-Jabbar was right at 3.40)
