I don't have any fond memories of the Rudy T era.

Another one of Jim's great hires. Sorry, Rudy T, nothing against you.

    Oh ..... [IMG]

Leave Stuey alone. While acknowledging this is not a unanimous sentiment around here. Stu just needs a good team again. :p

Not really a FO change, but cool that Cap would be open to being an adviser of some kind. He'd make a very interesting personality for the kids to be around. Bring him in to open the kids' minds in seminars about history, politics, and other worldly endeavors. Also use him as a coach to Zubac or any other big on the team who wants to try to learn the position.

    Yeah .... BUT

X twice for A. Bynum going through it. Plus some years of personal tutoring from KAJ. No wonder Andrew got Good. [IMG] If Kareem, as reported above, wants to help .... Do It Mitch. Errr sorry Mitch. .... do it Magic!!

Pete Newell and Stu's Big Man Camp undoubtedly helped any big man's development that was there and took it seriously.

10 Things I Learned From Working The Pete Newell Big Man Camp

Now in its place Big Men out of college or anywhere for that matter have to go to video training. Not quite the same, too bad.

If he was a good color commentator, he wouldn't need a good team. He'd do a good job and collect his money. Instead he acts like a spoiled child who feels above calling games for a rebuilding team.

I dunno, I think Stu enjoys his job, I think he just jokes around a lot about the same stuff and it's gotten old. I think he is actually good at what he does, he's been doing it so long and seen mostly only winning basketball until the last few years this is probably very new to him.

I do think he likes his job though, he does a lot of little things behind the scenes as like a Lakers ambassador as well that he seems to like. For one example the Shaq statue ceremony. For another, I went to a game back in 2000 when my mom worked for Albertson's and she got to go with a higher up in the company and we got food before the game and to watch it in a suite. Point being, before the game when we were hanging out, Stu came in and greeted us all, talked to us a little bit, he was a nice guy. I think there are some better commentators, but there are a lot worse too, I'd certainly notice it if he were replaced.

Attach Ingram to Kobe's hip and Zubac to Kareem's for all of summer.

Listen to the Houston or Portland Commentators if you want to know how good we really have it with Stu.

Some commentate for the worst teams in the league, but you'd never guess that from everything they say. They're just yes men, trying to please the owners by essentially lying to the fans about how good their team is.

What I like about Stu is he doesn't pull punches, and he will call it honestly even if its a call against the Lakers. Only time I think he's often full of s*** is when he's talking about if a ref got a call right. He tends to side with the refs even if they're clearly wrong.

Clips commentators are bad too, they sometimes whine as much about calls like the actual team.

If I remember correctly, Raptors have pretty fair commentators too.

I think Spero Dedes would make a great commentator, I really enjoyed his talk on the radio back in the day.

This was a very good listen. It goes right in line with the idea on how by the rules Mitch was, so much so it was a fault.

I loved Spero. He was great. I honestly thought he was being groomed to be our new Chick.
