I wonder how chilly that proximity encounter was or if they spoke at all?

Well good for Mitch it seems he still enjoys the game and is available if some team needs an executive.

 

Looks like Bell measured in at 6'8.5" with shoes and a wingspan just shy of 7'0"

 

Could Diallo be in play at #28?

 

Is this guy a under sz pf? Or over sz sf?

 

Under size PF with crazy athleticism

 

I haven't watched a lot of college basketball, but have read and watched a lot of the scouting reports for the top 4 prospects the Lakers are being reported to be interested in. Would these not be the more realistic comparisons?

- Lonzo Ball is Ricky Rubio with a better outside shot
- Josh Jackson is likely to be Michael Kidd Gilchrist 2.0
- Markelle Fultz for some reason makes me think he's going to become Eric Gordon with slightly above average passing ability (i.e. A Kyle Lowry/Eric Bledsoe level of passer)
- DeAaron Fox is Jrue Holiday

 

I only watch college ball during tourney but those seem pretty lazy comparison if these analsyt are supposedly saying this is one of the deepest and most talented draft in a long time...i mean just the ball/rubio seems poor, I doubt rubio couldve shot 40% from 3s at 18/19 even if he had gone to college...ive called Ball a taller rondo before but that was only due to asst part where hes not really creating open looks for guys rather guys are getting to their spots and he just makes the right pass (probably wrong there too) and mkg/jackson also seems poor, Jackson shot is not broken and he has handles like a pg and loves to facilitae, neither of those 2 things describe mkg at all

 

jackson's shot scares me a bit. don't like the mechanics, and i worry it's not fixable. he's not strong enough to get by as a tony allen, so he has to be a scorer at the next level. teams will really dare him to do anything away from the paint.

i don't see ball/rondo at all. very different styles of play, imo. rondo much more ball dominant. i think if he hits his ceiling, ball is ginobili. that's a huge if, though, as ginobili could really get to the basket in the halfcourt as the ballhandler. either way, for all the bluster about how bad dlo is at pg and how ball is jason kidd, i really see ball as a sg in the pros.

 

Jackson on draftnet is compared to butler/leonard...i dont see it but i do see Iggy like as his floor, just a do it all guy but just dont expect him to be your #1 or #2, maybe an inconsistent #3 early in his career and rounding out like iggy did

 

Eventually n no, prime iggy wasn't great either...he was a poor perimiter player....phi tried to make him a #1 n it didn't turn out well

 

Laker fans are pretty spoiled. We have several all time top 20 players that have played for us, and we are always looking for "next"

Hard to compare to that as an underclassman with "potential" or even a 3 yr player. Things are very different now, and you can't just wave your magic wand and make them appear

 

Jackson's shooting improved throughout the season so I think there's a reasonable chance he will continue to do so. I'm not sure how great a scorer he will ever be but he is a good defender. He's better offensively than Kidd-Gilchrist and a better prospect overall than MKG in my opinion.

 

I like the Iggy comparison with him more than MKG.
