Some interesting things from Ireland and Ramona:

I: expect roster moves, think along the lines of the pick if we have it and a couple of the kids.

R: Jeanie is aware that LA hosts the Allstar game next season and we don't have an allstar

If we can land PG13 for JC, JR, and HOUSTON's 1st, this opens some excellent options.

    Russell/Ennis
    Ingram/Nwaba
    George/Brewer/Deng
    Nance/Robinson
    Black/Zubac/Mozgov
    84.2 M in payroll

Option 1: Keep the pick?, add Ilyasova, another backup somewhere.
Option 2: Use pick to add a big name on a S&T - Ibaka or Millsap are options - possibly dumping either Deng or Mozgov.
Option 3: Use pick to add Noel and lose some salary.

    Option 1
    Russell/PG/Ennis
    Ingram/Nwaba
    George/Brewer/Deng
    Nance/Robinson
    Black/Zubac/Mozgov
    90M (possibly add a solid F for 12m)

    Option 2
If we could move Deng and the first for Ibaka, who'd be interested?
    Russell/Ennis
    Ingram/Nwaba
    George/Brewer/Deng
    Ibaka (at 20m-25m?)/Nance/Robinson
    Black/Zubac/Mozgov
    ~92M-97M - and could add a backup G for about 5M.

    Option 3
Move Mozgov/1st for Noel on a S&T (adding him at about 15M for a couple seasons)
    Russell/Ennis
    Ingram/Nwaba
    George/Brewer/Deng
    Nance/Black/Robinson
    Noel/Zubac
~82M on this roster, lots of room to sign someone else - like a PF or an EXCELLENT backup G.

I know people want the shiny allure of the high pick, but think about some of the things it could do for us. It's a huge asset.

As a Hail Mary, and though I hate him, you could offer Griffin a one year, $20m deal to play PF and shift Black to center

    Russell-Ingram-George-Griffin-Noel
    Ennis-Nwaba-Brewer-Nance-Zubac

Weak at wing depth. Impressive big depth. The starting lineup would be really interesting. Lots of O and lots of D. But maybe there's a better fit than Biff.

Why so much love for Noel? I know his advance metrics says hes a good + defensive player but i dont think hes really that good

He gives us a near double double who does play defense. He allows us to dump a big contract. And with Zubac, we have a pretty cool young big combo.

The big who I have my eyes on is Ibaka. He might be too high a price tag though but I think he fits really well.

I too hate Blake but he is an allstar in this league and we need one.

I wouldn't mind us making a run at Noel. I've liked him for a while. The only problem I see is we'd have money wrapped up in Moz and Noel with Zu needing an extention before either of them would be done with their contracts. We'd be paying A LOT of money at the center position.

We use that high pick to move Moz in my scenario. Sign and trade for Noel.

I personally think Mavs will try and keep Noel.

Potential FA target Caldwell-Pope was arrested for DUI on Wednesday.

Again: unsourced rumor says Hayward might sign in Miami (came out of nowhere and I sincerely doubt the claim)

Potential FA Nick Young says "he's a wanted man" but hasn't decided if he'll opt out or not yet. He said he'd love to stay here in LA.

That's why you offer a center and a top three pick.

I think Nick can be kept for cheap, he loves LA too much.

I think it depends. If he can get a big payday somewhere, I hope he takes it. I don't want to be on the hook for 25 million for Nick over three years.

I'm not entirely sure what the new rules are in sign and trades under the new CBA. I know there was some sort of tightening. I don't know in what regard though.

I know we all by default have a disdain for Blake due to him being a Clipper, and his on-court antics are sometimes annoying (the "tough guy" staredowns when making sure there are plenty of people in the way to stop an altercation comes to mind), but the guy is a phenomenal player. Yes, he's not the best on-ball defender, but I don't think the Lakers are in the business of walking away from a 28-year old All-Star if he wants to sign here, right?
