My problem is the wifey. She was not fond of the first episode. So with all the other stuff on, and us having limited time to watch stuff together, we're kind of stuck watching other things. My guess is that in another few weeks when everything else is off the air, she will relent.
I missed the first couple episodes so I'm trying to wait until they're reaired and I can catch up then.
The 60s/70s aesthetic is similar to X-Men Days of Future Past, but done even better IMO. Then they use a ton of unique camera tricks and extremely smart writing to make you feel like you're in David's head. Like you're experiencing his crazy. I love that aspect to it. I decided to watch episode 1 again just wondering about it's rewatchability, and I'm picking up on so many Easter eggs and foreshadowing that I couldn't catch the first time around.
That trailer looks amazing!! This is exactly how I picture Spider Man should be. Good lord the difference between this and that Justice league trailer
My question would be is marvel involved with all these other movies? Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
I'm not going to lie. I didn't like the trailer at all. I don't like where it seems like they are taking this Tony Stark/Peter Parker relationship. So Tony is going to take the suit away from him if he doesn't do things the way Tony does them? The climax of the movie is going to be Spiderman in sweat pants? There were things I liked about the trailer, but having Tony Stark dangle stuff over his head almost seems like a meta of Marvel using their #1 guy to teach Sony how to do things with their #1.
What I didn't like was that I basically feel like I know what's coming now. I feel like I know the movie for the most part. I did like the visuals and the fact that it's more character based than the explosions that DC gave us.
I had a thought today; a thought that I'm sure other people have had since it's not that out-there. Sony is making an animated Spiderman movie starring Miles Morales. I wonder if this is their way of introducing him to a mass audience. They are also doing movies on Black Cat, Venom, etc. that will NOT be a part of the MCU. I wonder if those movies will have Miles Morales as Spiderman. That way they can have their own fully functional Spiderman universe AND double dip on the Spiderman character himself with Marvel. So Peter Parker is the MCU Spiderman, and Morales is the Sony Universe Spiderman. If this isn't their plan, it should be and any executives from Sony that want to hire me for a lucrative position at their studio are free to PM me with a job offer.
That's pretty sneaky... I doubt Marvel would let them use the Spider-Man name though on another character who isn't "their" Spider-Man... I like where your head is at though and there's some potential there. Funnily enough, Sony recently said they may not do any more joint projects with Marvel after Spider-Man 2 comes out and their plans for separate movies with Marvel's characters seem to suggest they may pull out and try to use that Spider-Man in their own universe which is a worse, more corrupt version of what you were suggesting.
Legion season finale. So good If you didn't watch until after the credits, go back and watch after the credits. They did like Marvel movies and had a huge event happen after the credits.... Spoiler: Episode 8 spoilers I still don't know what that thing was that beamed David inside of it. I couldn't think of a Marvel refernce to it. I was also wondering if the guy with the 3rd degree burns was a specific character from the comics. Also also I expected The Shadow King to go into Oliver because he was the only other powerful psychic mutant there, but now I wonder if Oliver as the Shadow King will be the main villain moving forward So many questions I hated that the season was only 8 episodes, but they say Legion is a big hit and season 2 will probably have 10 episodes
