    I wouldnt sign any big contract player unless we trade for pg13 or find way to unload deng and moz... doesn't signing someone to big $ take us out of 2018 fa which is when we're suppose to "try" and get pg13?

    They could also just pay another team $100m to do it. But why would you give someone a terrific young asset just to take away another player?

    It's more so to free up cap space. I would make an effort to dump Deng.

    I'd reach out to Minnesota and offer Deng for Pekovic who has 1 yr left on his deal. Maybe throw in the Houston pick. Maybe Tibs still loves Deng enough to do it.

    "Take our best young player - so you'll also take Deng." I think that's a terrible idea.

    The long contract and a pick for a shorter contract makes much more sense.
