I'd suggest watching the whole video, but here's the bit on perimeter shooting. He can knock down jumpers when left open which is something Randle and Nance Jr. can't do.

Leaf reminds me of Austin Croshere. Not same shooting style, but overall game.

He'll be an effective pro, but won't sniff an ASG.

If you can grab that late in the 1st, that's a win!

I'm completely against exceeding quota if it's not absolutely necessary, but we did lose Huertas...

Great game from Wesley Iwundu tonight from Kansas State. I like his style. 24, 7 and 6! Could be a late first rounder?

If the Lakers keep their pick & have a chance to draft Ball, you do it. He has a hard to find, natural leadership quality. Lakers desperately need one of those guys.

If he's not available, you trade that pick + a core guy(or 2) to get George or Butler.
Clear up cap space for a close to max level FA.
Then see if that Houston 1st + any of our remaining guys can bring in another solid Vet Player via trade..

Lakers need to keep this draft pick. It opens doors wide open...

I missed the game, but he didn't pop out to me on tape. I'll try to find video of the game.

That's sort of my fear. Dirk isn't an elite rebounder, defender, or passer, but he's an insanely elite scorer for his size. If Markkanen can't do anything except shoot and that doesn't translate to the NBA, then what is he? Just a stiff.

Markkanen is far from a stiff but he does have a very nice touch. He's a bit slow and deliberate with a game that isn't quite as polished.

He looks pretty good to me, not a stiff. He's got a bit of traditional big man game as well as the outside shot.

He dominated that game. Granted it's the first four, but he looks pretty talented.

Oh and I have to add that Markkanen can score with his back to the basket in some instances. Ambidextrous too.

I don't deny he can score at this level, but will that translate and will he affect the game in other ways? Right now to me his ceiling isn't Dirk, it's maybe Brook Lopez. Markkanen just hasn't shown me he can do something besides score. I still have him in my top 10 though just on his scoring ability.

@LJ I hadn't seen him play pg. Is it true they had him run point?

Let's see as I haven't seen yet. Dirk mentioned. Stiff (possible?) mentioned. The dude is white? Can I have a Bird mention somehow just to confirm .... :Fishwink:
