I wish they would make zombies relevant again. The show is literally about zombies and they are used as fillers in episodes now for sweet kills and what not. That's one of the huge appeals of the show was the suspense of the zombies taking someone out. Now it's like mehh zombies are around, they aren't dangerous anymore.
I'm on mobile and its hard to type it all out but the show isn't literally about zombies. It's about the survivors, don't remember if he did it in the show or not but in the comics Rick says "WE are the walking dead."
Zombies are the backdrop. Play Left Dead if all you want is zombie killing. You'll get bored faster than the human wars and drama.
I meant they need to incorporate zombies being a threat still more into their stories. Aside from the large hoard that was planned from the comics, there is no element of surprise about someone getting picked off by zombies like in the earlier seasons. I feel they can still make the story about humans (Which you are right it is) but have someone get bit like T-Dogg, Herschel, Bob, etc as a reminder they are still in a world where there are threats aside from other human groups.
Yeah, but as noted, with all the walls, weapons, numbers, organization, and experience, that's very unlikely. Bob was killed by a human, Herschel and T Dog were ambushed in an uncleared prison, and there is nothing like that now. Expect for some a few people, out on there own, how coyld that happen?
I could see someone getting careless on the other sides of the wall though. It does seem they've neutralized them as a threat. To be fair though, the comics have hit the same stage now for a while. The zombies aren't the primary threat anymore, it's people. I think both the comic and tv show should try to wrap up soon if I'm honest with myself.
Thought this weeks episode was great, although I was saying to my partner that we've gone from Zombies being a present threat, to now, in which they are more of a boring hassle.
if you're a kung fu geek like me, check out Badlands...2nd season just started...it's on right after TWD
I find it more enjoyable if I watch 2-3 episodes at once, play the odds that maybe one episode will be good.
The only plot movement was that Eugene didn't run when he had the chance. That's it and we can all pretty much guess he'll help Rick and the group when the s*** hits the fan so it's not good development. It's just a waste.
I thought the Gregory scenes had real value to plot movement, with his sensing the coup and kindof warning the saviors of something brewing. It's just the Sasha, Rosita, Abraham love triangle drama stuff and suicide mission was so forced and lame. Zero s**** given.
