Down to 26.97 or so wins projected on my system and 31.98 on the Pythagorean system. If we finished with 32 wins, I'd be ecstatic. That would be almost double our wins from last season, and it would mean we finish the season 20-25, winning 44.4% of our games to close the season.
I haven't been motivated to pull this out in weeks now. Come on coaching staff that I've been jocking all year ..... time to "step your game up too". Forget the offense for awhile. It takes care of itself when we are reasonably healthy. FIX or at least improve the defense. Can't create defensive athletes but you can reach them however you have to do it to play better and smarter team defense. Who's that guy on your staff Luke. Did you really get one?
Through 39 games Point Guard Williams 84-- Russell 82+ Huertas 71 Calderon 71 Clarkson 62+ Wing Williams 89- Russell 80+ Randle 73++++ Clarkson 66+ Young 62(I think I had a miscalculation previously) Nance 54 Deng 48 Ingram 44 Peace 40 BIG Robinson 89++++++ Black 85- Randle 82++++ Nance 74 Mozgov 71-- Deng 60- Peace 55 Zubac 46 Win Projection: 27
Lou and Nick - Contributes a lot of points, roasted on defense Clarkson - Borderline average offensive contributor, roasted on defense DAR - Produces points, below average defense Ingram - Yikes offensively, below average defense Moz - Negative offense, below average defense Deng - Negative offense, average defense Black - Borderline average offense, average defense Nance - Borderline average offense, above average defense Randle - Below average offense, above average defense The rest - Just a cluster, I don't if they have played enough to get a real look, Zu is the only one that matters so hopefully end of the season they re-calculate to get a read on him Goal - Get as many players in the top right quadrant. Just glancing at top teams they have a good amount of players in the top right box
Here's another cool stat list: Real Plus Minus Williams 4th at SG Young 9th at SG Russell 19th at PG Black 22nd at C Nance 30th at PF Deng 37th at SF If not listed, not in top 40 at position.
Any metrics that has Deng in the top 37 at his position, I don't put a lot of weight into. Now if it was saying one of the top hardest contracts to get rid of .....I could understand.
Through 61 games Point Guard Williams 87+++ Russell 84++ Ennis 81 Calderon 64------- Huertas 70- Clarkson 61- --I think these pieces fit so much better. Gone is Will's high USG% ISO ball, Calderon's age, and Huertas's inabilities. Russell and Ennis are an interesting duo, and Clarkson will be able to focus on scoring with the second unit. Wing Williams 92+++ Russell 80 Clarkson 65- Young 58---- Brewer 55 Nance 54 Ingram 47+++ Deng 45--- Peace 39- Nwaba N/A --We need a wing! Shipping out Williams hurts the O, but Brewer and Nwaba look like they'll bolster the D and possibly the transition O as well. BIG Robinson 90+ Black 83-- Randle 80-- Zubac 80++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Nance 76++ Mozgov 71 Deng 57--- Peace 51---- --What? Four bigs in the bold? Look at Big Zu settling in. Black and Robinson could both benefit from going younger and faster. Win Projection: 26
Through 65 games Point Guard Williams 87 Russell 84 Ennis 77---- Huertas 70 Calderon 64 Clarkson 61 --Russ, Ennis, and Clarkson are pretty stable. Wing Williams 92 Russell 81+ Clarkson 65 Brewer 63++++++++ Young 58 Nance 54 Ingram 47 Deng 45 Peace 39 Nwaba 35 --We still need a wing, especially if Young gallops off. Ingram's frustrating, as he's so inconsistent in his shooting. Brewer is looking like a decent fit. BIG Robinson 89- Black 83 Zubac 82++ Randle 80 Nance 77+ Mozgov 71 Deng 57 Peace 51 --Black holding firm despite seeing more minutes against starters = nice. Zu is making his push. Win Projection: 25 Honestly, three of our starters are in the bold. That's a pleasant surprise.
I don't know. Maybe there are safer cities where 1/2 mil in stuff doesn't disappear (Of course I'm not buying that for a second. I call insurance fraud because Nick's kind of a clown) If you have that kind of valuables laying around and you aren't protecting it properly, then ...... what do you say to that?
Actually, laying valuable stuff around, keeping money in a safe at home, kind of sounds, well like....Nick.
