the pick next year would be totally unprotected if we retain this one, right?

i'm just hoping for an end to this kind of discussion.

we're technically not rooting against our boys...i look at it as not getting as upset after we lose

What I do worry about is the affect of constantly losing and the mentality it begins to create. I mean Julius sense being drafting in 2014 I don't think he's ever experienced a 4+ game win streak, maybe not even a 3 game win streak. When we were 10-10 this year I don't think we had a winning streak longer than 2 games.

I highly encourage you to click and read that by Greg Couch. It's a very interesting snapshot into what shapes Lonzo Ball. Some of it comes off as a bravado and frankly some of it comes off as insanity, but it's still a really insightful look into the Ball family. I'm trying not to get attached to Ball or Fultz, but it's getting harder every day.

Really good read. Glad I already have my ticket on the Lonzo Express.

This made me laugh: "LaVar also talks about putting his sons in football when they were younger. He says they ignored the called plays, and Lonzo kept throwing deep to his brothers for touchdown after touchdown. Everyone else was working on fundamentals. The Ball brothers were running up and down the field."

LaVar reminds me a little of Serena's and Venus' father. For sure a strange bird with out of the box thinking, but who may successfully create game changers.

A Ball/Russell backcourt could (emphasis on could) be amazing in like 5 years.

Great comparison. I kept thinking of Tiger Woods dad, but he didn't say outrageous stuff like LaVar. I remember Tiger signed a then-outrageous Nike contract and his dad said this will be considered a bargain 5 years. I thought he was bonkers. Fast forward 5 years and he was right. Tiger was at the top of his game and signed a $100 million Nike contract.

    I'd say more like 2-3.

The thing with passing like Lonzo's is that it'll translate a lot faster than his shooting.

All this team is missing offensively is a true distributor, hell, Ennis' penetration alone is a breath of fresh air.

I'd like to see Russell work off the ball because he has such a quick release. I'd like to see Randle (if he's still here) run in the open court without the ball and forcing the situation.

If there's a way to trade DLo to get Monk to pair with Ball.

Randle won't look as sexy as Paul George running the court.
