True dat but another reason to not like Howard.

He just didn't change. No need to innovate, the cba changed and the paths to team success with it. However those paths were all percievable to those that looked. Mitch didn't know what to do and yeah that trade with Nash shows it. Also should be said that Jim pushed hard for the Nash deal and even initiated it. Mitch said his radar was not on Nash at all. He said Jim had him call.

i wish they had too but there was absolutely no way that was going to happen in the midst of that season. that would have basically been mitch and co. waving the white flag during a season in which they were supposed to win it all

i have no issue with howard walking. guy is a clown, plain and simple. the crap he pulled trying to get kobe traded basically shows the kind of person he is. keeping him would have meant what? 10 extra wins a season? not to mention he hasn't been the same player since he left orlando anyways

not trading pau when they had the chance to get a good return is where the FO royally messed up

Phoenix and Brooklyn win again, look who's #2 with a bullet

Great op to solidify that #2 spot on Thurs vs Phoenix

I would have slapped myself silly for posting this pre-Lou trade.

You didn't have to lie to him.

You should encourage him to use that Stanford degree to find employment.

    Ot play overseas.

i've watched him a few times and haven't been gaga for his game. the shot is suspect, and he's not athletic enough (read: strong, in this case) to make up for it. seems like the answer to: what if lebron was three inches shorter and 40lbs lighter? another answer to that question is: an nba bench player.

granted, i'm no scout, and they all think he's a star. i just haven't seen it. i don't see it in anyone in this draft.

He's got a higher rating than Fultz at Draft Net. And it's the same as Ball's. Comparisons are Leonard, Butler. Damn.

I see some really decent players in this draft and at least a couple really great prospects... but I actually agree on Josh Jackson. I've never really seen a big star quality in him. I thought he looked more like a really good role player which could still be a starter, but not really a star.

I'm starting to think Tatum has overtaken Jackson for the 3rd player anyway.

tatum so reminds me of rudy gay. and maybe he's rudy gay with a better sense of team play, which would be quite good. but still not a superstar.

leonard and butler are super strong. they were super strong when they were 19, too. jackson's thin frame, given the rest of his game, concerns me.

honestly, ball's frame concerns me, even with his game not being predicated on that quality. it's hard to find dominant skinny nba players, at any position or height. i mean, they're skinny relative to the general population, but i'm talking relative to other basketball players. if you're not muscle-y, you better be super tall or incredibly skilled, maybe both. but the nba's best wings over the past decade (or ever?)...hard to find a twig in the bunch. kevin durant? he's 6'11", can handle, and can shoot quickly, off the dribble, from 30 ft. otherwise: lebron, wade, george, harden, butler, leonard, derozan, klay thompson. the current exception might be wiggins, but he's more skilled than jackson, even at the same age/stage of development.

none of this is to say it's impossible, just unlikely.

I would take Tatum over Jackson base on RISK alone.

But boy I wanna FALL for BALL!

At #3, if the Lakers don't use it in a trade I would go after Dennis Smith or Malik Monk.

Maybe Smith or Monk + DLo could develop into a Lillard + McCollum
