Well to be fair Iron Fist and Green Arrow have similar origin stories. I can see this being similar to season 1 of Arrow but better because Netflix.
I don't know much about Arrow. I know that the comic this is based off of is one of my absolute favorites.
Three things I love are: 1. Dude has embraced being a hero. He is not JJ or LC who desperately don't want to be one, or the dark brooding MM. He wants to be a hero. 2. The feel of the show feels like one part Samurai Champloo, one part fun Kung Fu movies. It seems near light hearted at times, which is a welcome departure from the other three. In some ways he seems like Mugen from Champloo. 3. The music. I love the feel each show and how it's shaped by music. If this show is shaped by the Wu Tang meets EDM in the trailer it will be fun Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
So apparently there is a new marvel production under the code name "sub Mariner" also filming in Hawaii where the inhuman show is filming. So Namor could be in the MCU. Black Panther and Namor at war, the illuminati, ECT. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Very clearly something is happening that has a code name "Submariner" the question is ofc is it actually Namor or is Marvel messing with us. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Big Namor fan. However, my sensibilities have matured somewhat from my 12 year old perspective. I now hope that they choose to eliminate the ankle wings.
Logan is sitting at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes with over 81 reviews already in. It's average score is an 8.1 which is also VERY good.
I think it has potential to be the most fun movie Marvel ever makes... It also has the potential to disappoint because the first one came out of nowhere to be so good.
Spot on. From what I have heard/read Marvel took their hands off even more this time around and let Gunn run a bit more. Probably due to the coup that liberated marvel studios from the control of marvel entertainment or whatever happened. At this point I think that is a good thing as the cast is fantastic and the chemistry between them the same. Here's to hoping it doesn't go too far and fail to live up to the hype.
This is my one concern, that it goes too far with the comedy. I don't want it to crossover into pure slapstick to where whatever threat the galaxy is facing becomes completely neutered. But I've said it before in this thread. I am looking forward to this more than either Infinity War movies.
I saw Logan and it's really, really, really good. Even if you're not a big fan of the series, or comic book movies in general, it's a damn good movie.
It is very good. Saw it last night at 7:05. It is a good movie about people on a road trip essentially where powers are a small part of it. Granted, the past that we know Logan is carrying with all the crazy X-Men battles is what makes the weight of his burden come out on screen.
His and Xavier's roles in the movie are very touching which was sort of unexpected. There's a few things I don't love, but for the most part it's a blast. I left feeling like Xavier was probably the best part of the movie.
