Apparently, the Lakers acquired the rights to Aussie Brad Newley in the Huertas trade. http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/...-newley-australia-tyler-ennis-marcelo-huertas Newley was drafted in the 2007 draft. He's 32, and he won't likely ever play in the NBA. He's been playing in Greece. This is probably totally irrelevant, but he's essentially a Laker.
Late 2nd round pick in 2007 by the Rockets and used 10 years later to facilitate a trade where they waive the player they acquire to save money and free up a roster spot. This right here is why you trade Young for a 2nd round pick.
He was young when he was drafted and now he is 33. Wow. He did quite well in Europe I think, but the best thing about Brad is that he originally played for the Townsville Crocodiles . Yup, the crocodiles.
Don't forget we've also got EuroSplash (brothers) in waiting over there. Just waiting for Daddy to get them ready for us to sign or to threaten to pull ZO if we don't.
...saw this thread and thought "what...we signed another one?" This one came outta nowhere...from page ??.
