WMC: Joey Crawford. Flagrant 2 was overkill. Typical Joey Crawford.

Tough ending, good game. What a start by Ronnie Price. Good stuff from Lin, Booz, and others. Just came up a little short.

No it wasn't. He intentionally threw an elbow up high in the throat. Totally got baited and reacted like a fool. Comon. He had to get tossed for that.

I mentioned in the Game Day that I thought we would lose this by 25. Surprise, surprise!! :D Boy, was I ever wrong. And glad to be, at that! What a fun game. Too bad we let them back in at the end but still . . . to be up by 25 in the fourth against the best team in the NBA this year? Wow. We needed that.

This was a great win. Hopefully, this is something the team can build off of.

That's for sure. I don't even mind losing anymore. I do mind watching horrible games, but if our guys are at least trying to make it interesting... then I feel better. Hoping to get that top 5 pick helps.

We're playing hard. But we're just not quite good enough to get over against most WC teams. The games have been entertaining for sure though, especially at home. We are in it.

The West is truly stacked this season. GSW, SAS, MEM are really good, and the Clips, HOU, POR aren't much weaker. That's crazy. Then you factor in a solid, young PHX team, together with OKC surging back after getting both of their stars back.... wow. We truly had no chance this year anyway.

You didn't even mention Dallas! Heck even the Pelicans are a .500 team. The Suns are over .500 too.

Meanwhile in the East the Heat are 14-17 and everyone thinks they've been pretty good this season.

We would have made the playoffs if we were in the east.

The west playoff games this season are going to be great. 1-6 are separated by a handful of games; same goes for 7-10.

Yeah, even with a healthy Randle and a healthy Swaggy P instead of missing the first 6 weeks it was going to be a struggle and the playoffs never looked realistic unless one of the top teams fell out because of injury. I feel like we had a fighting chance to go just over .500 though and I still think that would have been the case. But not much over. Even at my most optimistic I said 45 wins (probably too high) and even that wouldn't have gotten us out of the lottery in the West. With Lebron leaving the CHEAT, the Leastern conference just looks so bad. Chicago is decent but I don't think they stand a chance against whoever comes out of the West.

I have the Lakers trending to 30 wins right now.
In four of the past five seasons, that would give a team the 9th seed in the lottery.
That gives a 6.1% chance of a top 3 pick, an 81% chance of 9th, 12% chance of 10th, and less than 1% chance at 11th.

Unfortunately it's looking as if we're going to be giving a good pick to someone.

It was a great game to watch for sure, even with the loss. You can't fault our guys' effort. They went toe to toe with one of the main contenders tonight. We're just not quite good enough to get over. Good fight though.

So... Pau Gasol leaves us and suddenly he's making his best offensive season in the last 5 years and maybe the best defensive play of his career.
do you think in the cenario that rejuvenated Gasol was still in LA , instead of Boozer, that the Lakers was a playoffs team?

Pau Gasol would never have been rejuvenated in LA. He needed to go to the East with Noah doing the dirty work, so he can feast.
