I expect them to finish with around 24 or 25 wins. Probably the second or third worst record in the league yet again.

TANK-A-PALOOZA please!!! I want the Lakers to draft Lonzo Ball soooo bad. A PG cut from the cloth of the greats like Magic, Kidd, Stockton, Thomas etc

You want to see this team take the next step ... GET A DAMN POINT GUARD THAT CAN MAKE PLAYERS BETTER!

Lakers have talent. They just don't have the IT Player to connect the pieces.

Lonzo Ball is that "IT" player.

I hope the Lakers tank. Then get the 7th pick to Philly. We all know how much the 7th pick sucks anyway.

Trading Lou pretty much assures a bottom three record.

We have become a typical lottery team.
Every year the highlight is May/June and fans get their hope up for a superstar and every year the latest draft pick is definitely the best with the most potential to be a superstar. Its been that way with Randle, Russell, Ingram and now Ball/Fultz.

    Its kind of sad.

The satisfaction of WINNING is soooo much greater than a crap shoot with frustrating talents that almost never justify the hype of the community.

Definitely didn't feel that way with Randle or Russell.

    Thank Jimbo for our predicament

From making the NBA freaking Finals every other year to be excited by potential busts for the latest 4 years ...

It didn't even seem plausible for a book or movie scenario

We became a typical lottery team when the team went all-in on the foursome of Kobe, Nash, Pau and Dwight and it backfired in epic fashion. Dwight and Pau left for nothing, Nash fell apart without the Suns' medical staff and Kobe got slapped across the face several times by Father Time.

So in the absence of actual talent that was sufficient enough to actually win games, except Kobe who was an AARP member in NBA years, we have dissolved into the aforementioned typical lottery team where we simply spend 82 games scouting/hyping up/disparaging our young talent and awaiting the following June to see who is next in line to be scouted/hyped up/disparaged.

Then one day you look around and realize, like the Sonics/Thunder for example, "Wow, thanks to our years of sucking and high draft picks - along with other smart moves - we're actually good now and winning games and contending for a title". That's the end game.

we're worse than a typical lottery team...because we don't actually own our pick. i suppose the nets have it even worse, but it's bad.

I just went through the top 5 picks for every draft from 2000 to 2013 .

Even as a non fan of the draft , I can't believe how many of these players turned into busts ...
