btw, with the news about the kings' bat**** crazy owner waffling on moving cousins--this is a move that has lakers written all over it. go get 'em. sort out the mental issues later. if there's a way to keep russ and ingram, win. if you just keep one...still worth a shot.
You have to keep Zubac though. By the time Boogie is incarcerated for tearing off a ref's head, Zubac will be ready for full-time action
I can't believe I've become so desperate I want Cousins now, but I have. I'd trade many combinations of our young guys for him, I just really want to hang on to Ingram and Zubac. Everyone else I'd make available.
It actually does. The only thing we don't have a lot of is picks. Another reason this smells like LA a little is that there's mystery around which teams are in the discussion. Woj generally doesn't hold back information if he has it. If there's secrecy involved, it usually means the Lakers are involved... Now. If we could flip Lou for a 1st and then package that 1st with two of our youngsters and one of our big contracts for Cousins/Gay... That actually seems completely reasonable.
If that is all they want, Randle and DAR plus a future first with Mozgov or Deng would surely suffice
Could be the Kings are trying to smoke more assets out of us. Heild and two picks is a pretty tame return. Including just one of Randle, Russell, or Ingram would make ours a better deal I think. Edit- and boom goes the dynamite. I have a strong feeling the Lakers are the team deepest in trade talks here. Not saying it'll happen, but I guarantee we offer(ed) something better than Hield and they said no. They want Ingram and this is them trying to smoke him out. Meanwhile Boogie's agent is killing the Kings' bargaining power in order to keep the team he's traded to with enough assets to a) trade to make the team better or b) build around boogie.
