Really unimpressive. I've said: JR, Young, Deng, and 1st for Boogie and Gay. I could move to JC instead of Young if Boogie extends.
Valuable? Id rather let gay walk then be straddeled with Moz contract if shoe was on the other foot. Nance isnt enough incentive to eat Moz contract and this is all ignoring the cousins part
Didn't Gay snap his Achilles? I'm thinking they'd be lucky to get anything for him. But if it's the Lakers I'd rather get no return than a Mozgov contract (Based on amount vs return)
Deng being a trade asset is stretching the meaning of the word asset. We must add to his value by sacrificing picks and young players. Like Deng and Jc or DAR just for future considerations or 2nd round picks, This is how Kupchak ruined our immediate future.
I'd say handicapped more than ruined. If you have enough young talent in cheap contracts you can make it work. But if we were in luxury tax territory it would be inexcusable.
No! Because [insert ridiculously insistent Mozgov hate here, completely ignoring cogent arguments otherwise]
Its not hate its facts....if you shoe was on other foot, youd laugh your a** off if kings offered that pkg for cousins and we're the ones with cousin. Hell youd probably laugh at that offer the yr we had Howard if sac made offer like that
If Hield and picks is the sort of offer out there for Cousins I drop my hate for him and offer what's being mentioned here, Randle, JC, Lou, Deng, Young, picks, whatever combo they want. I try and get that done. Not a Cousins fan, but dude is a beast no denying that, it'd be a start for us.
Basically (3) 1st round picks I do that deal (Especially since they will likely be non lottery picks)
For the East teams looking for all these upgrades at the deadline, this is the perfect time to burn a pick considering the Cavs are the weakest they've been since Lebron came back. Most of these teams are built right now to take two, maybe 3 games from the Cavs. Getting a Lou Williams or a Nick Young give them the capability of stealing that third or clinching game due to their ability to get hot. Lou is all but certain to get a 1st, but with all the demand for wing players and the relatively thin market for available ones, I wouldn't be surprised if some team gave up a late round protected (top 25) 1st for Young if they really felt like this is the year to push past the Cavs.
I don't expect any deals will happen. And it's impossible for me to be let down further by this once proud franchise after four years of this crap.
i'm pretty sold on lou for smith/satoransky/1st. i'm sure washington would try to push nicholson on me, but i'd slap them in the face with the back of my hand.
