I'm on season 4 of the Vikings, the show is way better than i anticipated. It's much more than gore and violence. Sadly i know what will happen to Ragnar... Also, Harbard is the man
I'm really enjoying it too. Tom Hardy is just the perfect actor to play the lead role for the show. His facial expressions or lack there of, his persona, just perfect.
The ESPN doc is one of the best I've ever seen, did what a documentary should, taught me tons of stuff I never knew, showed me the world through a new viewpoint. I haven't seen the tv show yet, but it's on my list.
I just realized that Game of Thrones really isn't that far away. It's already almost March and I think it's rumored to start up around June? If so, we'll probably start getting trailers and more info within another month or two. Unrelated to that, I am on the season finale for The OA which I will likely watch tonight. Now on the finale, I stand by what I said after the first episode: I'm not entirely sure what I'm watching, but I think I like it.
TWD wasn't hitting on much last night. While I don't mind Dwight here and there..carrying most of the episode kind of bored me. Next week should be Rick's side again so we'll see.
I've been watching Haven on Netflix. It's like a sillier, low budget version of Fringe, and honestly I wouldn't say it's very good, but I'm 2 1/2 seasons in now and I have to see it through. Also, Emily Rose (Elena Fisher from the Uncharted games) makes it watchable for me. I've also been re-watching 12 Monkeys seasons 1&2 in anticipation of season 3, love that show.
I may or may not have posted this already in this thread but if you want a real great, deep television show check out - Rectify. If you like a powerful, emotional type shows this is a must watch. It totals 5 seasons, originally came out in 2013, and in every season it's never gotten below 90% on Rotten Tomatoes for both User and Critic scores which you don't usually see.
Not sure about this based on the premise. If he was cleared by DNA, why does this politician want to get him sent back? It sounds like (and I could be mistaken) that it's another one of those shows with an a villain that wouldn't really exist in real life. If it was just about him trying to reintegrate, that seems like drama enough. Adding in the mustache twirling villain who has a hard-on against the guy because "plot" always turned me off.
This Is Us. I'm binging on this and it's fantastic. 8.9 on IMDB. Stars Mandy Moore as she raises her 3 kids and flashes forward to them as adults.
My wife watches that show. I have watched small snippets. It seems like (from what little I've watched) that they write the show by sitting around the table and thinking, "What is the most tragic thing that can possibly happen at this moment?" or "Let's make this the most beautiful relationship anyone has ever seen so when we needlessly kill one of them, it'll make our audience vomit with grief." I KNOW they have a countdown clock in the writers room where someone has to die before the buzzer sounds.
Just watched the first episode of Legion last night. WOW. Loved the unique story telling. Hope the series lives up to the start.
