Mozgov is pretty much an immovable property. If the Lakers find a way to get rid of him, that would be great.

Black should not be moved, he is a real asset. With that said, if a team would take Mozgov and wants Black as a condition, I would sacrifice him without hesitation.

We need to find another big then to play alongside Zubac next off-season.

When I hear people say we'll be able to trade Mozgov with that crazy contract....

Shame to move Black, honestly, but if it's going to get Mozgov moved, I'm all for it. Still, I'd rather move Deng.

Good luck with that.... I mean obviously with Moz. As I noted earlier, Black should be fairly easy to move.

I don't want to move Black. He brings it every game and I love his hustle. He's a good guy, young and a solid backup role player who can fit at the 4 or 5.

However, I guess I agree with KB24, if it's the only way to move Mozgov then ok. Like TRodgers I'd much rather move Deng, but I don't think we stand a chance of that one unfortunately.

It would take Russell or Ingram attached to Mozgov in order to move him or Deng. Did the new CBA get an amnesty provision? Will we be able to jettison at least one of these guys?

No amnesty but as far as I know you can stretch contracts as needed.

The problem with stretching either Mozgov or Deng is they'd be getting something like 7 million of our cap for 7 years.

Yeah. I wouldn't want to stretch them unless it made signing two superstars in the same offseason possible. And I don't see that as a possibility.

IMO Deng is far more marketable than Moz at this point. There are several, probably dozens, of centers throughout the league that their GMs are trying to trade. If guys like B. Lopez, Vucevic and Okafor are available, I don't know why anyone would come knocking for Moz. I don't fault Mitch/Jim/Luke (some sources said Luke really pushed for Moz) for thinking that Moz could be a Bogut-style rim protector. I was convinced too. But evaluating centers in terms of relevant/applicable skill and cost is harder than ever in today's NBA... combine that with a huge cap jump during last summer's free agency and you end up striking out like we did on this bad contract

IF we sign Sanders, it should be to a 2 year deal. I'll be damned if the Lakers sign Sanders just for the rest of this season, he plays well and then potentially bolts as a free agent this summer.

Honestly, that's exactly what I'm thinking. Even Deng - 2 years, 25 a pop. That's a hell of a lot easier to move than four at 18.
