I like the ideas, but the Oubre trade won't go through because of salaries. We'd have to take on some trash. (BTW, totally an aside, I still think Bazemore is overrated here.)

The Young trade works, salary-wise. We wouldn't be able to get an OKC first until 2022, unfortunately, as they owe one in 2018 and 2020 already.

yea I figured that much with OKC, i think it would work, we have enough youth now. Could be one of those trades that turns out something like the time Det ended up getting the #2 pick 4-5yrs after some random trade for some bum that turned into Darko.

Ah yes, the trade where the Grizzlies gave up a 1st round pick for 35 year old Otis Thorpe, which became the #2 pick 6 years later in Darko.

Since we are talking about trades from years past, the Pistons at least were smart enough to sucker Orlando into giving them a 1st round pick for Darko, which became #15 in 2007 and Rodney Stuckey. Orlando then let Darko become a FA in 2009 and he signed with.... the Grizzlies.

Things really do come full circle.

(And for more pointless facts, the Grizzlies then traded Darko for Quentin Richardson and then traded Quentin Richardson for Zach Randolph. So all in all, the Grizzlies did ok)

8, 5 and 2 bpg in only 24 min isn't that bad. At $5 million, that's not a bad play.

If I'm Mitch, (maybe it's a good thing I'm not), I'd spend the all star break parked next to the phone fielding calls about everyone on the team. 1-15.

I'm sure that Magic's public posturing has really improved the negotiating leverage of Mitch

Mitch will do that, but the other line will ask for Ingram in exchange for peanuts

    "Varying Levels of Interest"

    • Interested to very interested: Lou, Russell, Ingram, Randle, Nance, Zubac
    • They are decent to good players but let's talk about other players first: Black, Young, Clarkson, Robinson
    • I am interested in him but it'd be after you waive him so I can sign him as a free agent: Calderon
    • Who is that? Never heard of him: Huertas
    • Wait, he's still in the league?: World Peace
    • LOL..... no: Mozgov and Deng

Of course, but if there would be any time that Mitch and Jim would want to pull something off again now would be the time with Magic's and Jeanie's gun barrels pointed at both of them.

Nice to see at least we're really vetting through all the offers or interests out there that opposing GM's have on our players to see if a trade really would be worth it.

He has a meeting with Mitch and Jim on Monday.

I am interested to see what we hear comes out of that meeting; either way, we need to improve this team.

Anthony Davis for Randle, Russell, and Clarkson works financially.

You're right. For Darth Stern to be okay with it, we'd need to also trade our pick which would just happen to be the #1 pick.

Only Lou will be traded , don't get your hopes up.

Lakers FO is fine with being garbage now because " they like what they have for the future"
