As far as I know he's never been an Avenger. But Hyperion and Sentry have and they're more or less Superman.
I don't know about that. Cash's version of Hurt made the first trailer amazing. The song really encapsulated Logan's life...the pain, the loss.
I hated that first trailer. I had absolutly no interest in seeing that movie after seeing it. This trailer at least got me abut interested
In my oh so humble opinion, with the advance of technology and online streaming, mid budget movies (50 million) are becoming a thing of the past. With this in mind, actors know if they want to be seen on the big screen they HAVE to do these types of movies. I think that's why we are seeing top flight actors do Marvel movies, Star Wars, DC, etc. Sure they can still do the tiny budget movies, but if they want to get PAID and get mass exposure (despite them saying they do it for the "art" they still want to bask in the adulation of fans across the globe) they have to do these movies...and its to our benefit.
They won't be a thing of the past, they will change the way that those stories are structured and the way that they reach audiences. You will start to see forgoing cinema release with a straight to streaming model starting to develop, and you will see those stories turned into a series ala Netflix originals Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Streaming is the way most actors are going. It's a much better story-telling device anyway. 8-13 episodes an hour long gives actors 5 times the opportunity to build a character and develop them. It's better for fans who get to watch and digest things at home. These enormous blockbusters will keep theaters open and will make actors tons of money, but to tell stories the small screen is where it's at.
Theatres will continue to.morph into more experienced based entertainment, food, big chairs 3D, smell o vision. But you other films will eventually evolve I to straight to streaming media Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
I'm not in love with the trailer, but I'm still excited about the show. Iron Fist is one of my favorites.
Trailer didn't give me the same vibes the others did. I am looking forward to the fight scenes though, should be intense.
Feels a bit lighter than Daredevil. Might be a good shift depending on how they develop Danny Rand. As long as it doesn't turn into Arrow: Teen Angst Part 2.
I've never watched Arrow, but I've seen people say they get similar vibes from the trailer. I think it'll be like you said: a lighter Daredevil. The things that I liked: some of the old school looking kung fu choreography and that great chi blast at the end. Other than that, it was a pretty nondescript trailer. It tried to skate the line between explaining who Iron Fist is and creating excitement. It needed a better direction.
Seemed a bit bland. Like all the other Defenders have a very specific personality, but Iron Fist doesn't come off as anything in particular from the trailer. I also do get the Arrow similarities. The scenes where he's being trained reminds me of Nanda Parbat where Rache Al Ghul trains his assasins.
