...and we found out. Non-cellar dwellers win that game, even if the entire damn team is injured. See Memphis for an example.

So... apparently the video twins are pretty important to our team. Who'da thunk?

Cut down on turnovers, fail to pick up guy with ball multiple times and let a wide open 3 occur. No one above the free throw line. I mean come on, I sound like a broken record, but this is high school level stuff. FFS man.

    Other things that irked me...

    1) soft hedging pick and rolls. They score every time or got a wide open shot. Adjustments. The few times we did be aggressive (Thank you Julius) we got some turnovers and forced difficult shots

2.) JC remove head from a**. Turnovers, terrible defense, poor decisions, it's just all bad right now.

3.) Deng is the final year Kobe. Stop dribbling, stop giving 15 jab fakes and bricking long 2s. Park your a** in the corner where you are effective or just simply move the ball. Stop ISO'ing him. Stuck in the mud is a perfect description of him right now.

So much correctable stuff going on right now. I know we are short talent currently, but got damn basic basketball principles should not be thrown out the window!

The soft hedging pissed me off; when Julius is involved in a pick in roll, you HARD HEDGE or SWITCH with him.

    Goodness.

When you miss Nick's effort on defense, you know something is wrong...

Kind of a pissy comment Kenzo? You're better than that ......and Nick has been MUCH better on defense this year. Best in his career actually and it passed a lot of our "eye" tests plus Luke has called attention to it numerous times.

I was being serious. We miss effort on D and Nick was playing as good as ever.

I figured there'd be rough stretches but damn. With this lack of defense I don't particularly see playoffs happening this season. I don't know what the scheme is but it's clearly not working what with giving up 115+ points a night. Can't have second rate players inexplicably getting hot against us on a nightly basis.

did anyone really think this team would make the playoffs?

30-35 is the most realistic number of wins for this team and even then, i'd see that as a sign that the kids are maturing

With a 7 game road trip coming up in 12 days...

its safe to say the honeymoon is over and we are back to reality.

We will stay there as long as we play the worst defense in the NBA.

I'm not a big fan of putting limits on expectations because of the youth factor nor of the " it'll take time/the future is bright" argument/excuse for every loss

Sure we have been hit by injuries but overall the competitive will of this team has disappeared , the Suns game being the prime example .

Early success led to unrealistic ramping up of expectations. Still looking for the improvement from young guys. Other than JR's passing abilities, have we seen anything?
