Kobe can play PG in the halfcourt set against most teams.

You're making it really hard to support you Byron. WTF is he thinking? Does he mean creating plays for others late in the game?

Expect to see an exhausted Kobe by halftime.

Horrible idea. Kobe is a turnover machine at the 1. I don't get it. Hey, at least he's young, so taking even more responsibities is fine.

Next Byron move: Kobe to play center at key moments in the game because he is our best post player.

I think that's more wishful thinking. He's just clueless. The front office may be trying to tank but the coaches and players are not. They try to win with what they have.

Oh, I know. Either way, Ronnie played a total of 17 minutes last game and outside of a couple of assists was pretty useless. He's better served going against opposing guards with less chance of hurting the team digging such a hole to start the game. Byron will make the change; he's just a little slower than others...

Byron has cleverly combined more energy intensive ball handling with no rest in the first quarter.

It looks like Byron has been coaching defense lately. The rotations were impressive tonight.

I've been bashing Byron as much as anyone, and I will continue to as long as he keeps doing things I don't agree with. That said, do we at least give him credit for benching Boozer and letting him finish games? It seems to be working, Boozer looks much better on the bench, and he's pretty active to close games.

Watching this team play I realize how important momentum is in basketball. We start games so poorly. The Indiana game was deplorable. Even against the Spurs where we won we were ten nil down I believe to start the game. The third quarter we came back with some fire (yet only reduced the score by two). We should not have to be beaten to a pulp and then have to attempt some Hulk Hogan like comeback each game. This is not WRESTLEMANIA. It is on Byron to plan and execute a scheme when Kobe comes out flat and tired to start the game. Kobe needs to keep working on mixing up his game (especially when he is getting no calls - what was that about?)

To me Indiana was tough to beat in the paint, but they did nothing an average to below average NBA team would not do. The loss was on us. They did nothing startling and we gave them confidence and momentum. We should never look like we are freelancing or improvising at the START of a game. It needs to look like there has been a plan made. As a team that is not crawling with talent, and not possessing multiple all stars we cannot afford to dig ourselves out of sink hole deficits.

Grit is not a substitute for planning. It is what gives you the fortitude to carry out plans, make hard shots, run back on D. The Pacers got a free pass to win the game in the first half. The Thunder are next. Ibaka and Adams (and Perkins) will clog the paint up just like the Pacers did. Westbrook will also disrupt the pg play (Kobe should not have the ball at PG against him). I am justifiably skeptical about a win. Let's try and improve the way our team plays. Grit like hustle cannot be sustained without confidence in our plan and direction.
