nice! Though we could've used him off the bench this season for the next 8 weeks?

Good. He knows hoops and was a true professional when it came to getting screwed over by MDA. Welcomed addition to anything Lakers related as far as I'm concerned.

I like Antwon but didn't he only play one season with us. I mean we've had/have Worthy, Norm Nixon, Rambis, Fox, Horry, Madison, ext. All holding a certain Laker prestige and now we get Jamison? Look forward to his insight but there must not been many applicants to pick from or the Laker lure got thrown out the window.

I honestly find it odd that they bring him in. Nothing against him personally, but why not bring in longer standing lakers into the fold?

I get the skepticism, but the guy really is a pro. There's a dozen factors here but keep in mind there's only so many Lakers around here. Walton left. Worthy is still doing it. Scott is our coach. Wilkes isn't a television guy. Coop is coaching. Shaw is gone. Fox is bigger than this station already. etc. etc.

Antawn was good for us, a very good player, and maybe we're helping a brother out by giving him a job in a field he's trying to get into. He wouldn't have been my first choice either, but I'm glad he's here.

How about a Mexican affiliate station host position for Karl?

    Lol at the Smush suggestion....
I'm good with Jamison, great guy with good knowledge / insights I just hope Horry is still in rotation to come in periodically.

I really like Jamison and always have. He's a total pro. Hated the way he fell into 'Antoni's doghouse, but loved the way he played himself out of it. No problem with him being here.

The guys said Horry should still be doing it along with Big Game James.

they should have Horry and Norm Nixon...it would be a smooth transition when they go to break and those stoner Jack In The Box commercials come on

Jamison is well spoken and very knowledgeable. Fox is on NBA TV and is angling for larger stakes. Payton would be fun but he is with Fox Network. All the other candidates are coaching as mentioned. If things get dicey at the 3...maybe Mitch can convince him to lace it up for a spell.

Oh and McDonald's constant over-emphasizing is unnerving [rolls eyes]...and it's only the first game.

I'm happy for him. I never really thought of him as an analyst when his bball playing days were up but I'm sure he'll do a better job then Horry.

yeah i never saw jamison as the type to become an analyst or anything like that once he retired, and i'm even more shocked that TWC brought him in to work for the lakers considering he only played one season with the team

but i've always been a fan of his and i still feel for how bad he was treated by he who must not be named. i'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring

Jamison's a bit of a weird choice given his brief tenure as a Laker. He is pretty well spoken, however, and I will just think of him as an extra NBA analyst we can have around. I love Horry and I thought given time he'd loosen up and be a little less awkward. But he hasn't really improved all that much. Still don't mind him being there though.
