i read spoiler sites prior who claimed there would be Abraham and another death. I figured glen was the second, but thought he'd be shot after Abe lucielled. It was awesome glen met his comic fate... bulging eye and all. "That's gross as s***!" Loved that line from negan
I thought they were trying to deviate from the comics at first. But then I felt that Abraham was too much of a cop out and were going to kill Daryl when he reacted.
What was Maggie's plan they talk her out of, hunting down negan herself? And what did Sasha end up convincing her to do?
Before that whole day happened she started getting pains because of the baby so they were gonna go to the Hilltop because they have a doctor. So they escorted her and ran into Negan. She wanted to go alone to the Hilltop, to keep everyone else safe and for Rick to go home, gather the people for revenge. They talked her out of revenge and Sasha was going home to accompany Maggie to the Hilltop.
Well that's how I imagined the Kingdom to be from reading the comics. Interesting placement of episode considering most people would want to see the aftermath of last weeks. Good introduction episode for the Kingdom, went through a good amount of info. Next episode should be a treat though.
I thought King Ezekiel was fantastic as the king, and then when he opened up to Carol as himself, he was even more likeable. I also really like his sidekick. The difference in tone from those two characters was refreshing to me because every other character in the walking dead are different flavors of brooding/angst ridden.
Interesting look into how the Saviors live. If there's one guy that isn't going to break easy, it's Daryl. But man, Negan steals every scene he is in. He's the right amount of charisma and crazy, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is playing him well.
Negan trying to break Daryl like O'Brien on Winston Smith in 1984. I take it the cell door was left open as a test. I am not even sure if the lady who showed sympathy was testing him. He is running this cult of personality, and like the Nazi's if you harm the saviors the fear is of retribution a hundredfold. Will Negan's overconfidence be his undoing? I think at some point the cruelty will come back to him, with somebody with nothing left to live for, willing to kill him, and possibly themselves ( I could see a bomb being used) This character should last all season, and the buzz is that he is feared and loved with his sinister charisma (as much as a homicidal sociopath can be) by fans. It would be good to keep him around. He said himself last night, everybody is Negan, an extension of his sphere of leadership. If he is killed then the saviors will fall apart or be less of an evil empire. If Daryl does not give in, he will die. He is being pushed hard. Maybe reuniting with Carol or fearing for the others may break him. The burned man is someone who may be fatal to Negan. A definite source for betrayal
Negan is a staying piece you guys. He will not be killed easily or quickly. Great last two episodes. I still hate that we waited all summer for a conclusion to the story. I think that was still a bad move.
Negan just steals every scene he is in. For those that read the comics, when do you think we'll see All Out War? It would most likely be the season finale but they are moving at a quick pace tbh.
