Not trying to excuse the Warriors b2b schedule. Every team goes through it. Yes the Lakers won on their second game but they did lose that first game in Indy. If they had won both games that would have been more impressive. As it is they rebounded nicely to play well in the second game. The Warriors just came off an emotional game so they were emotionally spent on the second night. Lakers took advantage as they should have. That's why I thanked the schedule because it worked in our favor this particular time. Other times it will work against us. (we all remember the regular scheduled loses in back 2 backs in Denver) Not trying to take anything away from our guys. I'm stocked about this win but let's be realistic, Warriors are not going to be this bad next time.

Doubtful. Maybe. But much more he just thought our team was trash. And it was last two years prior to getting this Guy.

Wire to wire beat down on the team everyone was already handing the trophy to.

Don't but the b2b excuses or what have you. Sure the OKC game was emotionally heavy but that game was won early. If I remember correctly Klay played the most mins that game at like 30 mins.

GSW probably came into this game thinking it was going to be an easy win but got shocked at how hard we played and couldn't quite turn on that switch.

Golden State turned up the defensive intensity in the third being within seven several times. The team showed poise and maturity. Same circumstances last year? Down double digits easily.

I'm really liking how BI has been getting more involved, and god damn he is long some of the rebounds were crazy how long he is.

The OKC game was over early like in the first half so there was no excuse for the Warriors not to come out and have the energy to win this game. It's not like that game was competitive the night before. The Lakers just outplayed them in every aspect. It's early in the season so teams shouldn't be that fatigued yet like later in the season. It's not like they had to travel across the country either. It was an emotional game for KD sure, but for the entire Warriors team to the point where they were drained emotionally? Yeah sorry don't buy that. Considering the Game was over in the second quarter they had more than enough time to recuperate themselves.

The guy whose game it was most emotional for, was the one who brought the most energy for Golden State. If anybody should have had an off night, it should have been Kevin Durant.

We were slicing and dicing their inside defense (or lack thereof as LT noted) in the first half... I saw that we stayed home on their shooters even if they missed their shots. The other player who brought it was Green. Golden State as impressive they can be are as a scoring machine is a donut. The Spurs can deal with them...maybe even The Tenants.

And yet the Lakers blamed fatigue in their lose to the Jazz and it wasn't even a back to back so yes apparently players can get fatigued this early in the season. The Warriors as a whole got up for that game for Durant, not just Durant himself. Green made that apparent. So yes it was an emotionally high game for all of them.
I'm not disagreeing with you in that the Lakers outplayed the Warriors the entire game. You seem to that think I'm trying to throw shade at the Lakers win last night. I'm not. And yes Warriors did recover even cutting the lead down to about 6, and the Lakers responded well and pulled away. But again I reiterate, you had two of the greatest shooters go 2 for 20something for the game. So unless they were just missing on purpose I still maintain they were fatigued and as I keep saying the Lakers took advantage of the situation and turned it into a good win.

Watch curry start breaking down or never relive the last couple years to really have KD thinking if he did the right thing.

KD probably hated the lakers growing up... it's all good. Sometimes what you think is a sure thing can go the opposite of how you envisioned on the outside looking in.

The whole gist of this post seems to be "alright, we did ok but GSW is going to exact revenge us". Who cares? And last year's win over GSW was not the same. We were the laughing stock of the league. We needed a big win just to save a little face and GSW provided it. We have been in and fought every game so far this season and no one has handed our guys anything. Can't let GSW slide on the b2b excuse this early in the season and this close to home when our guys didn't use that excuse to lose in Atlanta, they went in there and played hard on a long roadie b2b and took one away from the #1 rated D. As for the "yeah we beat Atlanta but lost in Indy" comment, it's seems that has lessened the win in ATL in your mind for some reason. Why not take it game by game by with these guys, give them a little time and don't be disappointed that we're only .500 instead of .667?
