    Because they finally got their s*** together with canning Boron the a-Hole with 2 years left on his deal to strike in the tiny window available and hire Luke before some other team did, and the great draft picks over the last 3 years vs Jeanie for all intents and purposes sabotaging the franchise this season days before free agency .... to what ... bring Phil back in instead and probably lose Ryan West, the 2nd West run off? Losing Ryan is my opinion if Phil comes back.

    One of the on line comments I saw with the transcript says what a lot of us feel. The suck a** "timing". Jeanie dredging all this stuff up again. 1 or 2 days before FA started this summer. Now 3 days before start of the actual season. Guaranteed right before the trade deadline. She talks out of both sides of her mouth. On the one side she thinks Luke is the bomb and a great young coach to lead the Lakers going forward. But then still agrees to comment on the firing of Scott and being unhappy reading between the lines that she didn't know about it beforehand. So what, would she have disapproved and preferred one more year of that crap with him so we sucked again with no hope and she could bring Phil the savior back? Stop agreeing to keep stirring the s*** with this Jeanie. It's freaking ESPN who hates the Lakers guts. Why didn't you just tell them to go pound sand and run with Boron the a-hole and Matt Barnes. Though Matt said nothing that wasn't accurate and positive, aside from noting that Jimmy went out of his way to get rid of all things Phil around the FO .... photos, passing over Brian Shaw (me), etc.

    wait, so going 6 years without a title means that the entire franchise has declined?

    damn, i'd love to know what ESPN thinks about the state of teams like the suns, blazers, wizards, nets, etc who have never won a title or haven't won in decades. what a joke

    I watched it last night. I thought Barnes was fair.

    I'm starting to turn on Jeannie. She's always available for these interviews and is in charge, but defers all responsibility and accountability to her brother. But won't fire him.

    I'm going to suspend judgement on the FO until I see this season play out. I like the FO's moves this summer getting Luke Walton and Brian Shaw back in here, and I've liked all of our picks with the exception of Anthony Brown and they just cut him. We've done a decent job filling out the roster with vet FA's to improve our team. If we double our win count from last year or even come close to that, it is a big time improvement to me and a good sign that we are recovering. Hopefully our young guys will develop and we can attract a top tier FA this summer or next. Right now GS looks like they have a lock on the Finals for the next few years barring injury. We need to continue to rebuild back to contention. It won't happen overnight.
