    Lakers love lottery pick busts. I wonder if Mitch also gave a call to Greg Oden, Emeka Okafor, Tyrus Thomas, Andris Biedrins, Al Thornton, Julian Wright, Terrence Williams and Jonny Flynn to come work out for the Lakers.

    It's not even fair to compare those other guys you listed to Thabeet. Oden was made of glass, some of those other guys were mediocre, Thabeet just plain sucks.

    I think we need a backup for Yi, in case he doesn't suck enough we can use Thabeet to add the garbage factor that his pedigree brings to each and every play.

    A lot of times these high draft picks end up in tough situations, but there's a reason they started as high draft picks and some have legit talent.

    I'm fine working out burn-out high draft picks. Makes some sense to see if there's still shine on the apple.

    Thabeet...slow, ponderous and clumsy. We had one just like him last season.
