    f*** them

I guess the Lakers aren't allowed to rebuild after dominating for as long as anyone can remember.

Our demise has been greatly exaggerated. Bring me these tv specials when we go 22 years without a title like Boston. Not surprised B0ron is involved in this though, as he was a huge part of it. Am surprised Barnes is involved because who cares about him, and am disappointed Jeanie is. She better not trash anyone and only spout her ignorantly positive team owner crap. If they don't mention how the Chris Paul trade veto screwed our franchise for years to come then it isn't good reporting though. If that goes through nobody is probably talking about our decline as we never have to trade a thousand picks for Nash, Kobe doesn't have to carry the load he did and get injured, and so on.

......featuring interviews with Byron Scott, Matt Barnes, and Jeanie Buss

The casting couldn't have been any better.

...meanwhile The League's other heralded franchise the New York Knicks hasn't won one in 43 years. Where's their special documentary? Not sexy enough...yes?

Decline? Is that what they call the radioactive hole in downtown L.A. where the tactical nuke landed on them?

Byron Scott is being brought in to detail how he kept lobbing grenades into that smoking pit doing his best to finish them off?

And Laker Girl on how she deliberately tried to sabotage the team's chances in free agency this year?

Matt Barnes? WTF? Why Matt Barnes?

Because nobody cares about the Knicks. The Lakers are like the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone is obsessed with them and they'll get kicked when they're down and people hate to see them win granted the Lakers have only been in a drought for six years as opposed to 20. It'll be sweet when the Lakers are back on top again and seeing the haters dissapear faster than LeBron did in the Finals against the Mavs in 2011.

Very selective casting I see. Are they going to ask Byron about his part in the "decline".

Its been 6 years since our last championship, I'm actually kind of flattered they think not winning another in 6 years is a decline. Luke and the kids, let's prove them wrong.

This must be the story of Jimmie Buss.

Don't like the sound of this at all. Screw BSPN. Lakers are finally on the upswing again with some talented young players and a great coaching staff.

This "special" could be aired in 5 years if we still suck as a team .

Our downfall has been brutal and historic but it's only three seasons .

It happens ( maybe not that bad) to every legendary team in sports

Any show on our supposed demise better interview Stern. Let him explain things in a few more words than "basketball reasons."

    Yes, I'm still bitter.

    1. can't they just reprint the original paul trade veto story and be done with it? will they mention how well the lakers recovered from that unprecedented, unethical, and obvious political takedown, only to be foiled by two essentially career-ending injuries in the span of about 18 months? the direct result of those injuries was disgruntlement of the other two star players, one who then bolted in FA, and the other who quie playing basketball until he bolted in FA? cuz, uh, that's the story. it's not about jim buss.

    2. who else are they doing to interview? mike bibby and doug christie? bill simmons? smush parker?

    3. i look forward to the next installment in the series about the decline of the portland trailblazers, whose bungling ineptitude hasn't yielded a title since bill walton was mobile!

    4. you know what's funniest about this stuff is that they'll discuss how the lakers aren't a FA destination anymore. uh, they really only signed one huge FA in the last 20 years: shaq. and if you read the recent retrospective, that was a bizarrely perfect storm. they're still--even as bottom dwellers with no more money to offer--on every single big name FA's short list (save durant's last summer).

And let's not forget to include mention of the new CBA which was designed explicitly to hurt teams such as the Lakers - they actually called us out by name.

If the Lakers were half-way competitive every single FA in the league would be giving us a meeting. We're not at this moment so they won't. It's not rocket science.

Let's all talk about how the Knicks haven't won anything in 40 years and who was the last truly impactful FA they signed?

Anyone want to get into other "premiere" teams like Boston, Detroit, and Philadelphia who have won a combined two titles in 25 years?

Someone needs during this undoubted hit piece mention Stern and the rescinded Chris Paul trade. Lakers themselves rarely if ever bring it up. I'm curious for anyone who watches to see how Jeanie approaches this considering her actions of late.

Oh ok so let's interview all the people that might actually have something negative to say about us (Byron and Matt Barnes - why are they interviewing him???). Yes, that includes Jeanie because of the gun she had to Jim's head if we don't improve in the next 1-2 years.

They will definitely ride this till the cows come home. Just when we're starting our upswing and have a lot of positive things coming up this year as far as growth and tutelage.
