Am I the only person who is actually looking forward to this more than Infinity Wars?

I'm just not even sure what to expect from Infinity Wars...

Next year we get Guardians 2, Thor 3, Spider-Man, Iron Fist, and the Defenders.

    What a year.

No, I am as well, I love the first one. I enjoy almost all the new Marvel movies, but there are a few I can watch pretty much any time they are on tv. Guardians and Winter Soldier are probably the top 2. I like the Avengers too, Ultron less so, but the journey to get to Infinity Wars has sort of lessened the excitement. We've known it was coming and seemingly known the title for years now. Of course I'm excited for it, but at the moment Guardians 2 looks really good already, and even Doctor Strange looks, well, strange in the best kind of way, very excited for that one. Infinity Wars still seems cool of course, but it doesn't feel like the massive event it was built up to be currently because these other supposedly smaller movies have been massive, it feels like another movie in the line of these movies. I'm also concerned how they are going to fit like 50 characters into that one movie, could be overload.

My excitement also starts to dip a bit for an issue that's admittedly not their fault, certain characters/actors will have to start to drop out and be replaced and unless it's done right it will lose something. Take Cap and Iron Man out of the Avengers and you're losing a lot of the heart and the wit/humor of what makes this work. You're going to have to introduce some new very charismatic characters to take their place, and/or get the Guardians involved to fill in. I do very much like the additions of Black Panther and Spider-Man to this universe though, and we have Captain Marvel and others coming in, so I have faith for the moment they know what they're doing.

Oh and I'm also looking forward to the next Thor, sounds fun, but I still don't get how they can just drop Natalie Portman/Jane when she was such motivation for Thor early on, she's gotta show up sometime even briefly, right?

^ I'll spoiler these in case anyone cares but:

Guardians 2 apparently might end on Earth and they might connect them already.

Thor 3- Apparently they just write her out. She's doing her own thing trying to change the world in her own way and they go their separate ways. Portman apparently really didn't want to do these movies anymore so they just wrote the character out.

Infinity Wars- Apparently the budget for this movie will be in the billion dollar range in large part do to actor salaries, but also scope (meaning VFX) and whatnot. I think the only way to really get people pumped up about this again is to introduce Thanos on a bigger scale. Make him more imposing. So far we've gotten very little from him and I've lost a lot of the excitement towards him that was building up before. If he comes through Thor 3 and wrecks stuff up then I'm all in again. I'm ready to go.

how many years for the build up to infinity war? 6 or 7 years? and originally it was going to be a 2 part movie but now the first one is infinity war and the second part is still unknown at the moment. to me they need to build up thanos to get everyone excited or more excited when infinity war releases. figuring out which movie will that be, i was thinking guardians but i heard the director is pointing at a direction away from thanos as the main villain, maybe thor 3? all i know is they will have to show thanos retrieving every stone.

Doesn't feel like a comic book movie at all and hopefully that is refreshing.

    Looks really good.

I love the vibe. Any fans of the Old Man Logan series? I read the original one and it's fantastic. This might be the first Wolverine movie I'm genuinely excited about.

so I watched the trailer... and I would love to be excited. Its like a cross between Old Man Logan, lone wolf and cub, and of course Hurt by Johnny Cash of course just might be the greatest song of all time. BUT I stand by my statement of fox just screwing this up... Hope I am wrong...

I'm kind of in the same boat where I'm having trouble getting as excited as I was before. One thing that really worries me about Infinity War is what happened with X-Men Apocalypse. Obviously different studios and different characters, but Thanos is going to be severely over-powered with that gauntlet. In the final battle with Apocalypse they essentially had to make him forget about powers he had (ones he displayed earlier in the film) in order to give the X-Men any prayer in defeating them. I don't want Thanos to essentially lose because he has a brain fart and forgets he can do just about anything he wants, nor do I want it to be one of these r******* ego trips where he decides, "I can beat you with my bare hands!" and loses in a fist fight to Black Widow or something.

Logan trailer reminds me of The Last of Us video game, which isn't a bad thing at all. They've yet to make a really good Wolverine movie though, so here's hoping.

I thought the first 2/3 or so of the second Wolverine movie was pretty darn good and then the end just veers off in to stupidity.

I suspect the same from this, but this trailer looks fantastic.

completely agree I actually enjoyed it up until the mech suit samurai part, it just jumped off the rails there and just sucked.

I agree with both of you, which is why I said they've yet to make a really good Wolverine movie. The Wolverine was really fun for the first 2/3, but I can't give a movie full credit for that, they ruined it with the last part. The closest thing to a really good Wolverine movie they've made is probably days of future past as he's pretty much the main focus of that one. Some people are mixed on the new X-Men movies, but I like that one and First Class. I've yet to see Apocalypse though, just didn't look good.

Hmmm I like the comparison to The Last of Us, I see it actually. Also helps that Logan looks like Joel and the little girl, Ellie.

Wow the Logan trailer looks amazing. I love how grounded and gitty it is, not like the usual comical superhero movies.

Surprised no one's talking about this. Seems like an interesting character to base a series around. I wonder what other mutants will make cameos
