I'll give Gotham a couple more episodes. They still don't have a solid footing as to what they want to do.
Just started watching House of Cards last night. I am really enjoying it a lot so far. I'm normally not a huge political guy and was somewhat worried I would get bored with it eventually but so far I don't see that happening. I think the reason why I am enjoying it is Kevin Spacey. What a great job he does in this show. I love when he is talking directly to the camera about something that just happened in the show or that will happen in the future. It's little things like that that I like and think add another dimension to the show. The strong character development is remarkable. Kevin Spacey's character especially is one I find very entertaining with how he carries himself. Cocky, smart, and someone who is quick on his feet when it comes finding solutions to issues. Looking forward to continuing onward with Season 1
It's a show on the CW they always have eye candy lol But yeah Arrow is great, season 2 is even better than the first!
It's a great show. I just finished watching the second and last season of Longmire. LOVED the show. Ticked off that they canceled it even though it was that network's 2nd highest rated show.
Arriw had a few missteps season 1 but stick with it and season 2 and 3 going on right now are worth it.
True.. the first half of the 1st season was so-so. But, when it picked up, boy was it good! Flash has also been really enjoyable. Completely different tone from Arrow though. Loved the two cross-over episodes!
Flash had the luxury to piggy back off of arrow's success, it's barely been half a season and I've already liked all the characters. The cross over episodes were great, liked the Flash one better though. It showed a great side to Ollie we rarely see. The arrow episode was meh, there's too many bigger plot points I care more about.
Another CW show I started watching is The 100. First season is on Netflix. Like the Arrow this is another show I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Watching season 2 when my DVR records it and first part of season is good but with the developments I'm hoping it hasn't jump its shark. Regarding the Flash, just read Mark Hammil is going be reprising his role as the Trickster from the original 90s version of The Flash which I think is pretty cool. In any event , looking forward to the fall finale.
HAHA. I watch too may shows. I second The 100 though. I casually put it on as I was doing work a few weeks back and the next thing you know... I was sucked in.
I as well watch too many shows for my own good. But has The 100 been good? Started watching the first couple episodes and couldn't really get into it. If its gotten better I'll probably watch it over the winter break.
It sort of like a futuristic Lord of the Flies if you've ever read the book which was one of my favorites when I was young. Not completely of course but it does remind me of that scenario. It does start off a bit slow but the intrigue does build as the season goes on. I found it compelling enough to stick with it.
I just watched the pilot for a new show called Colony on the USA network, and I was blown away. Seriously, I'm pretty much in shock with how great this show is just from the pilot, and the fact that it's a USA show.... USA network might have just found there Walking Dead if it catches on (it even stars Lauri from TWD, but she's not at all annoying, and kind of bad*** in this show). That's how good I think this show can be. It's extremely well written, and all the acting, props and everything are top notch. It's set in a near future LA, following a family, after aliens invade earth. That's all you really need to know. Anything else would be giving away some of the plot. I highly recommend you all give it a try and let me know what you think or if you think I'm hyping it up too much. Can't wait till Jan 14th for this show to get started in earnest.
Anybody else catch the Netflix original Stranger Things? The 80s called, they want their sci fi monster show back lol. Seriously though it's a pretty good series, only eight episodes. But it captures the spirit of 80s sci fi movies perfectly, down to the soundtrack. Kind of reminds you of The Goonies, or The Lost Boys. It gets a little plodding midpoint, but picks up in the end. Highly recommend for anyone who's a fan of the 80s monster flicks.
If you like campy 0's shows watch Dead of Summer. It's set at a camp grounds like Chrystal Lake, with all the cliche characters and 80's outfits lol' I think they're on episode 3 now. Also, love the show Preacher! It's really weird and really good at the same time. It's replaced The Walking Dead as my Sunday night must watch show.
