    Shaq in 2000 = WOW! Dude was a monster. No one in the East could touch him in 00 to 02. Then he took "company time" to get healthy and it all unraveled.

    It was just a joke, I don't mind it.

    I know some Laker fans were offended his speech wasn't more glowing about his time in LA, but I thought his speech was vintage Shaq: after all this time it sort of missed the point.

    I don't mind it either. Everyone is still sensitive after all these years. Kobe and Shaq and friends now, but that doesn't mean that can't jab one another occasionally.

    sure, but some things are in poor taste

    If Kobe said something about Shaq being fat, I'd feel the same way. Just no reason to go there.

    Did he give everything he had, like 90% of the other Hall of Famers? No. But I doubt 15 players in NBA history had a better career.
