Very true, but movie stars get an extra special dose of crazy.

It's embarrassing. I try not to think about it. I just have to find a way to succeed in spite of whatever moron ends up in office.

In my next comment, I'm now baiting and messing with people about vaccinations just because sometimes it's fun to be contrary.

Your example stinks because I hate the mainstream candidates so no I don't often listen to them for decision making advice.

I also don't listen to rich people who are so wealthy that they often are out of touch with reality. They may have great, liberal ideas that are lofty and impressive, but they don't actually know much more of anything than anyone else and in some cases they know less. However, they have a platform to spread their lack of knowledge that most don't enjoy and there are plenty of sheep out there that will listen to them because they're famous.

And the other side of the rich people with ideas, conservative or liberal, try to impose their influence through lobbying with politicians. And those are the people who tend to have more power.

So if celebrities in the public eye aren't ones to listen to, the people turn to the politicians who are just as, if not, more influential with their one sided ideas.

The issue is that there is too much separatism in this country today and zero cooperation. It's like we're creeping back to the Civil War era.

I just think it's tacky when celebrities and athletes try to use their fame to spread their political opinions. I don't blame them. I get it. If I had a platform to voice my opinions to a wide audience, I'd utilize it. But when I see it happen, it's just like why should I care?

Come on Magic. You've demonstrated that you're a damn fool when it comes to analyzing modern basketball. Why should I trust your stance on modern politics or be influenced by the fact that you're endorsing Hillary?

Especially since they never say anything interesting or unique. All the celebrities that have endorsed Hillary are just parroting the basic stances that all the CNN pundits have been saying. All the celebrities that have endorsed Trump (although relatively minor in comparison due to the stigma associated with being pro-Trump or anti-Hillary) are just parroting the basic stances that all the Fox News pundits have been saying.

All of us probably spend more time paying attention to the election than any of these celebrities.

But we've already established that smart people don't listen to either. The politicians in place (a lot of them, if not most) are embodied by Clinton: crooked people who take money for political advantage. Certainly that is a legitimate concern for the mainstream candidates.

I'm not sure Gary Johnson has ever had enough political influence to be offered enormous bribes yet. :D

The one that upsets me most and has been compounded by dumb celebrities: not getting your kid vaccinated because vaccinations lead to autism.

There's literally one piece of literature in the last hundred years that says "we have found that vaccinations neither help or hinder the development of autism" which someone somehow twisted into "vaccinations cause autism" which a few celebrities (hello Jenny McCarthy) parroted and caused part of the population to not vaccinate their kids which put lives in danger. It's things like that, celebrities who use their fame to spread some agenda, that makes me very wary of celebrities in the political spectrum.

What was even worse was that DOCTOR Ben Carson also spoke against vaccinations. A DOCTOR! And people cheered. That's not right.

Everyone knows vaccinations can be very deadly to give your children. If you love your children, why would you take a chance on them becoming permanently impaired?

    Just... please... just... oh lord...

    - my reaction to the argument against vaccination

I'd be willing to listen if anyone could provide me with cold, hard evidence against vaccination but I've yet to see it.

Some risks are worth it. Unless you think the very real risk of us creating medically induced zombies is worth it.

Carson said he thinks the dosage should be less, over a longer period of time. I watched that debate and it was in response to some of "Dr Trumps" wild opinions.

Is it a business? Yes. Do I trust the government? No. Do I always get my flu shot? No. Actually, not since I got out of the military and haven't had it since then either. But I'll trust my family doctor over the Hollywood elite who think they're just so smart because they are pretty.

He's still insinuated that vaccines have some affect of disability in children. With no evidence of such, and as an educated doctor of medicine, he should know better, right?

Ah see I've gotten none of mine and people question mine too.

    The cycle continues.
