My point is he was neither "laughably bad" nor "terrible". Hate the idiot coaches.

I actually don't think of him that way at all.

If I want to imagine a face of this rebuild it's Wes Johnson, Darius Morris, or Ryan Kelly. Probably Ryan Kelly.

I always saw Sacre as a surprisingly solid Center for a 3rd string player.

Hating Sacre is like hating the kid with asthma who gets picked last in kickball.

For me that would be Carlos "The Lush" Boozer. He was horrible, just horrible.

Awesome, this must be why we haven't signed Ingram yet in order to preserve extra space!

Kidding of course. I'm guessing it would be a veteran's minimum contract, probably just a camp invite?

Others see scrub....I see smiley potential. Stats aren't anything to get excited about, and not sure why he'd want to come back here and be 3rd string at PF.

I will spend the summer believing in Luke. *turns blind eye to career stats* Yi can shoot, right? Stretch big possibly?

He won't be third string after we trade Randle for Cousins

    Oh Lord...

We haven't signed Ingram because we need that cash for Yi!

I have this terrible fear that the Lakers throw their remaining cap space at Yi Jianlian in a multi year deal (i.e. 3 years for 24 mil, no opt out)......

I was joking at first that we were preserving our cap space to give big bucks to Yi. But after reading Stein's article, apparently we went after him last summer but he turned us down. So maybe we actually do have to shell out big money for him...

After seeing how well he's played internationally the last few years, I definitely wouldn't mind signing him for a cheap short term deal. It'd be nice to have a legit "stretch" big man to switch up the rotations. He most likely never cracks the rotation and is just there to draw in more Chinese fans, but there's a chance something magically clicks and he finds redemption in Luke's system.

Wow I barely remember this guy. From the few YouTube videos I see he's got a good shot from outside. Not terribly physical inside, but does have the ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the hoop, absorb contact, and finish the shot. Could serve him well in today's league. Wouldn't mind him I guess.

In all seriousness, Yi is 3rd in the Olympics in scoring right now at 20.4 PPG and is shooting 46.7% from 3. He's also 6th in rebounding at 6.6 RPG. He averaged 26.7 PPG and 9.2 RPG last year in the CBA. I was gonna say that's pretty good but the leading scorer in that league averaged 42 PPG over 36 games. The second leading scorer is our old buddy MarShon Brooks at 35 PPG. Michael Beasley averaged 32 and 13 lol.
