What I mean is that I HOPE to see more of such games, with more balanced Kobe...Not shooting 30 shots on a daily basis, cause this year I did start to question his decision making. Even being the only option on the O, you can still play a more smart game, involve people too, like we saw yesterday. And I also hope Scott will limit Kobe's minutes, so he has time to rest his dogs, he's not 25 any more... for the rest- I agree, Kobe already is a legend with his own name, his own signature shots, bunch of records that many new stars are ranking on...And one small detail- MJ was always Stern's favorite, lebron was crowned king before he entered the League and all these BS big-3s conspiracies in foston, miami and clevelend that were OKeyd by the NBA and all the moves favored other teams and stars...Kobe had to go through rape allegations, divorce, feud with Shaq, some very turbulent years, robbed of at least 1 more MVP award, but managed to keep his game level and win tittles and amaze people and he has some of that left in the tank. And I hope he can lead this present Lakers team to some wins and to add more to that huge book of memories before he retires...
I still like Carron. I wanted Odom traded instead of Carron at the time. Hind sight it was the right move, but I still wanted Carron to be a Laker for a long time. He and Kobe are still really close
Hopefully this win gave Kobe more confidence in the game plan. He won't be cold every night, but this is the right way to play. Against better teams our guys might miss shots but Kobe won't be missing them like he did tonight.
Being saying this for the last several years.... Kobe plays one way: to win Kobe will pass the ball: When teammates move without the ball and are aggressive Kobe trust: Guys that have the confidence to step up and show what they are about He gets assist when guys are making shots. Yes, there are games that he shoots too much but more often than not other guys aren't putting in the effort or the energy.
Perfectly said. I think that's why he likes Swaggy P so much. Young has the same fearless confidence in his shot Kobe does.
I always liked him. A real fighter and I wish him the best. As for Kobe, apparently he was fighting the flu bug that's been rolling around the NBA and ruining fantasy weeks with random days off. He had a nice game though and I think the guys appreciate that he's looking for them even if his passes weren't on point.
Great video, yeah I posted this in the NBA Discussion part of this forum I think a while back. I remember at the time of posting the video I had no idea the kind of heartache and tough stuff he had been through and just how likely his life could have turned the other way.
I hope and assume Kobe is ok. I can live with Kobe hero plays in the last two minutes (even when they explode in our face like today), That knee bang really took our game out of rhythm. One step forward two steps back i'm afraid.
You know when he hit his knee I wasn't even mad or sad or anything like that, just numb at this point. If (and as much as I hate it when) Kobe gets hurt again, I'm already mentally prepared for it. I don't want it, I pray to God it doesn't happen, but the way this season is going and as much as he's having to do for us I just don't see him being able to hold up the team forever. He played well in the first half. That bump really shook everyone I think and after that our team just looked different. Everyone except Nick Young just looked a little shook up.
Kobe and I think Booz having breakfast with Rondo, hmmm.... People may draw a lot out of this, like its a recruiting thing, but I think Kobe and Rondo just hanging out/catching up. Why isn't Kobe stretching, recuperating, taking an ice bath, or watching film Edit: Looks like we already got this posted in the 2 FA signings thread. My bad.
