Yup. Not to mention the ability to bring cans on boats and around pools. Glass + anywhere there are bare feet is a no-no.
Phenomenal! Oaky, sweet, yet pretty tart. It's a perfect sour. On par with The greats, like Consecration. If you're looking for a more sour beer with tons of fruitiness, this is probably one of the best I've had. A real nice high abv ipa. I'm not a hop head so i won't get into any details, but it's good. I thought this was going to be awful at $1.99/can, which is dirt cheap for a sour beer. The blackberry flavor was artificial tasting, but not too bad. Otherwise, it was quite decent. I'd drink it again.
So I was in Grand Cayman and tried a sample of their Tortuga Rum...wow that was good! I'm more of a whiskey person myself, but that was the best tasting rum I have ever tried. Realized too late that it's not sold in the states at all, only in the Caymans. Would have definitely sprung for some had I known that at the time. Now gotta find a friend who's going there....
This was discontinued in 2000 and just brought back this month. It had the beer world in a frenzy. i was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle for freaking $32! It was really good, but nothing i'd shell out that much dough for again. Very complex oak aged sweet, tart and cherry flavors. Delicious. Tons of coffee in a silky smooth stout. This guy f****d me up. It's big, sweet, complex and delicious. caramel, vanilla, sweet dark fruits, oak, bourbon.
Very boozy, like a stout flavored bourbon rather than the other way 'round. It's good though. Vanilla, bitter chocolate, lots of oak and vanilla.
Really delicious sour for those getting their feet wet in the genre. It's a gose, so it's not overly tart, and it has some salty funk to it. The guava and passion fruit are very present. This is very boozy. There is a lot of fruit and vanilla and caramel, but mostly like a sweet liqueur.
Delicious sour for the price. This is the other end of the spectrum. The crem de la crem of raspberry sours. It's amazing! But, 2x the price for half the sized bottle as the flat tail. It's waaay better, but depending on how into sours you are, you'll get a lot of bang for the buck with the tail. What a great name! Big oak aged sweetness from the bourbon and maple, but the base beer (double bastard) is still very much there, meaning plenty of malty bitterness to balance everything out. A perfect sipper.
This shouldn't work, but it does...really well. I never even knew this existed until yesterday. I've had the three other chimay offerings; strong dark ale, dubbel, and tripel. This one is a belgian pale ale and it's my favorite. It is very floral on the nose and the taste. It tastes like asian jasmine tea to me, very much jasminey. It's like a belgian ale jasmine tea.

Beer connoisseurs might have issues with it because it didn't have too much of a "beer" taste, but it wasn't like it was one of those super sugary beverages that just taste like alcoholic juice. The watermelon was there, but still kinda subtle and watered down. Overall made for something super crisp and refreshing on a hot day.
I like Lost Coast beers. My wife has family in Humboldt and we love that area where Lost Coast is from. I dig their Downtown Brown.
There's this stuff called Mr. Pineapple (San Tan) which is a wheat beer with pineapple. They actually started carrying it at my local Ralphs of all places. I't not too bad if you are looking strictly for an outdoor beer to drink while by the pool. It's a little too fruity to justifiably drink in a normal setting, but it works in much the same way a mai tai does while in Hawaii.
Amazing stuff! This label says its an ipa with coffee. Beeradvocate.com says its an imperial stout with a s*** ton of hops. Tomayto/tomahto, it's very full-bodied, thick, flavorful coffee and chocolate with a ton of bitter hops, but not biting Stone style bitter. It's very smooth and finishes with sweetness after the bitterness. It's a must try. Home run for the price of $4.50/750ml bottle! Holy crap is this stuff good! It's not an elite barrel-aged sour by any means, but it's really really nice to drink. It's more tart than most goses, but the salt and caramel are there. My beer-reluctant wife nailed it, calling it a really tart caramel apple. Go to your nearest costco and pick up 4-5 bottles before this limited release is gone.
A friend brought this to a party - it was really, really delicious. The coffee and chocolate are pretty clear, and it has a bit of a bourbon burn, which is nice. I'd totally recommend. We had the 2010.
What a treat! I had it years ago and loved it. I think they only release it every 10 years or something.
Pricey stuff ($18.99), but really good. It's a belgian sour. It's strong at 11%abv, barrel aged, oak, tobacco, and leather, dark fruit sweetness, and vinegar tartness. I won't buy it again, but it was yummy. How amazing does this sound? It's not. It's a nice beer, but not for $16.99. It's like a mildly tart un-aged stout. Too harsh around the edges and not barrel aged smooth and sweet.
Holy moly! Thank you rich brother in law for this $40 beer. It's incredible! At 19.5%, it's still sooooooo smooth and sweet. Chocolate and vanilla and bourbon just explode out of this thing. It is a top 5 beer ever, for me. Meh, nice sour, but nothing great. It's pretty tart but nothing complex. Very little blueberry.
I really, really want to try Chocolate Rain. I'll have to do something awesome and call on it as a celebration...
