    Yeah that's my point. They've lost almost all their bargaining power at this point and everyone knows they are the worst run organization in sports. We have absolutely no reason to give up our best assets anymore. Cousins is gone as it is. Most of this site is hesitant to give up much for Westbrook, well this situation is the same except Cousins isn't as good as Westbrook and has less impact on the games. I'm not giving them crap for Cousins.

    I don't know if it's been touched on in this thread but the Sixers offered Manu a 2 year deal worth somewhere in the vicinity of 32 million dollars (2nd year maybe non-guaranteed?). The Spurs initial offer was 3 million... I'm surprised Manu gave the Spurs a second chance, but they did the right thing and coughed up 12 million for the guy. I know the Lakers brand means more than the Sixers, but there's pretty great evidence of how much you have to overpay to get veterans to come to a rebuild.

    Here's what Pincus had to say about such a potential move:

    The team has held off on signing Tarik Black, Marcelo Huertas and second-overall pick Brandon Ingram, keeping an eye on what could be $13.6 million in cap room (assuming the team also waives and stretched Nick Young).

    The Lakers do have an unnamed trade target in mind, but are also preserving space for another opportunistic Calderon-like deal.
