If they do that - I will cancel my fandom subscription.

    WTH? Also - BS.

There is absolutely no way someone wants to cultivate a certain culture and J.R. Smith is a part of that vision. In fact, previous sentence is the only time
in history "culture" and "J.R. Smith" were together.

what about in conjunction with "poison", "destroy", "contaminate", "insult", or "urinate"?

I don't want him... but I think he has proven he's not as bad as Nick Young after this last season. He did everything they asked of him to win a ring. He actually played smartly and was a solid veteran. I wouldn't mind Nick's party attitude as long as he also worked on his game/did what we needed to win games. Nobody partied harder than Magic.

He's a sack of rocks and I'm still not interested, but weren't a bunch of you guys asking for a shooting 2/3? :D There you go.

This smells like an agent planted "report" designed to motivate the Cav's owner to re-sign JR for too much $$$ by specifically name dropping the Lakers.

With the added benefit of getting the massive Laker fanbase to retweet and post his tweet. We are used so often for page hits, it's ridiculous. As Laker fans, we should know better. Our signings and trades come out of left field. None of these reporters except maybe Woj know what's coming. Mitch never lets anyone know what he's thinking.

You guys are probably right, but like any good theory, there's enough there to make some sense.

    - Shooter? Check.
    - Champion? Check. *shudder*
    - Veteran? Check. Kind of.
    - Available money? Check.

We're clearly saving our cap space for something. Hopefully that something is not JR Smith, but there's juuuuuust enough nugget of sense there to make this thing a good rumor. :D

Reportedly, he wants $15 million dollars a year; even if we stretched Nick, we can't create that salary cap space, and why would we lock up a potential malcontent to a long-term deal at $15 million per year?

Can you say Latrell Sprewell? Or for Dodger fans when they had TV back in the day .... 2nd baseman Jody Reed? Didn't he turn down back then, like $5M from Dodgers and never came close again?

I agree more so because I didn't realize he was 6'9! Might be over inflated like they do for 95%' of proffessional athletes as far as height/weight go.

He looked really good in the playoffs when I was watching him. Former 15th over all pick 4 years ago. I'd love to somehow move Young, Lou Will,Brown,Sacre,Huertas and sign him.

No way we're getting JR Smith ESPECIALLY with the good value of LOu Wills contract, not to mention ability to score as well.

Calderon/Harkless/Ingram > Calderon/Smith/Ingram IMO, especially since Calderon can score but is a bit of defensive liability, that's where IMO lies why Harkless is the all around better fit.

i'm surprised nobody's offered harkless a deal the same size as crabbe's. portland can't afford that, and harkless has room to grow. if i'm bkn, i definitely take a flier on that.

Kings are pissed.. They call us and offer Cousins for Randle&Clarkson+filler(s), we do it and don't look back? Still some talent out there that would make the trade easy to do for me.

    Moz/Black/Zu
    Cousins/Nance
    Deng/Ingram
    Harkless/Lou Will
    Russ/Caldy

    Cmonnnnnnn!

At this point they're screwed. I'm not helping them unload. Cousins I think can be great in another uniform, but why help the Kings to make that happen?

Nah. Timing isn't right on that move.

So we assure ourselves of getting him and not playing the waiting game if he even ever becomes a FA.

i'm certain the lakers will listen if sac is moving cousins. but i think they're dawdling has cost them their shot at russell or ingram in such a swap. i'm guessing we'll hear lots about cousins moving at the deadline. clock is ticking on sac. no way he stays there past this contract, and each day his trade value diminishes because everyone knows that.
