That's kind of a back handed slap

Tomorrow NBATV from 12-3pm pst is doing a big special. Now, with this said it will likely be a lot of the main Olympic guys but hopefully some scrimmage action which I'm sure there will be with the Select team.

Yeah I was just coming here to say that of the other young players, I wasn't terribly impressed with the little clips we saw. Winslow and Parker looked supremely average to me. I liked Julius's ability to grab and push, but more importantly he was giving the ball up quickly and in the right situations. He likes to control the ball on the break, but it's good to see him developing some more chemistry with D'Angelo. Ingram looks the same as he did in Summer League: a little tentative, but effective in the small role he puts himself in.

D'Angelo was looking far, far more like a PG too. He wasn't just passing the ball more, but running the team more and also making the kind of passes we'd hoped he could make. He had a great pass to Ingram early in the video that Brandon just wasn't ready for that was Magic-to-Worthy-esque. Gorgeous.

Randle's shot still doesn't look great. He looks more comfortable and willing to shoot, but we're still not seeing a ton of accuracy so far. Hopefully we see the ball go in a little more as the season draws closer.

Again though, this is incredible for the young kids. An awesome experience for them to see some of the greatest players in the world up close and measure themselves against them. We all know Julius feels like he can hang with these guys, but we're starting to see D'Angelo feel that way too and Ingram isn't far behind. Just a terrific, tremendous experience for them.

Agreed with everything you're saying. It was encouraging to see D'Angelo take it to Mudiay as I'm sick and tired of hearing that Mudiay is a better point guard. This is going to help these guys going into next season. A confidence builder for sure. I do expect D'Angelo to make a big leap...I mean he has to at this point. Lots of pressure on him and media REALLY hates him.

The video will automatically go in the 24:00 minute mark . Russell sets a screen, Randle attacks after the screen is set, and kicks out for a wide open 3-point attempt in the corner. Those are the types of play we want to see this season. The shot was missed, but it was a high percentage look.

They also ran a lot of Motion Weak which is another aspect of our offense. Looks like Pop plans on bringing San Antonio ball to the Olympics.

    Watching the whole video:
    - Parker and Winslow looked really bad offensively, but pretty good defensively.
    - Ingram started the game with a nice jumper although the rotation was weird.
    - Julius seems to be having trouble adjusting to the Fiba ball. He's already got small hands and the smoother parts of the Fiba ball are hard to grip when wet.
    - Brandon Ingram is going to be a hellion in passing lanes, but he's going to have to learn how to finish stronger (Stan Johnson blocked the hell out of him).
    - D'Angelo was a clear leader out there and was in control. One of the better players on the floor.
    - Julius was hacked by Stan Johnson on that circus layup.
    - The three Lakers played a small ball lineup with Julius at the 5 and Parker at the 4. Interesting. Thanks for the help Pop.
    - D'Angelo used to talk about seeing passes his teammates weren't seeing and that happened a few times on the floor. Some of them are his fault for forcing it, but there's angles he sees that are pretty impressive. I ragged on him for not passing the ball more/more efficiently, but it was good to see him show off some vision.
    - Brice Johnson looks good. Skinny, but taller than I thought.
    - Marcus Smart is a better PG than Oladipo.
    - McDermott can shoot all day in practice, but can't shoot in a game. Just another in a long line of kids like that. Still put Oladipo on a poster though.
    - Cauley-Stein looked useless offensively.
    - Would have loved to see a more aggressive Devin Booker.

I agree with @therealdeal , DLo was the clear leader out there and one of the better players on the floor. Those who thought he'd have trouble adjusting to the physicality of the NBA vs more NBA ready players like Stan Johnson sure were foolish. (4/5 bet posts).

back handed agreements shouldn't count! :D

And Stan Johnson also looked great by the way! And I was pretty much right about his first season! He was a little further along than I thought, but physically D'Angelo is a new person this year.

You're ruining the fun of the bet!

No Anthony Browns, Munfords, Augustes... Nance hasn't really worked with Russell as much plus it was Twiggy's indoctrination to NBA play even if it was mostly scrubs.

I gave him a hard time because coupled with the turnovers we weren't seeing the kind of passing I know he's capable of. I'm glad to see it even if it's just in these short clips.

Not select news, but Draymond and Carmelo look like they've packed a couple on since the end of the season. Yikes.
