    Russell/Calderon/Huertas
    Clarkson/Williams/(young)
    Deng/Ingram/(brown)
    Randle/Nance/ (???)
    Mosgov/Zubac/Black

Very well balanced team & we're not gonna be weak at any position...
Seeing how Russell & Nance looked much improved in SL & that both Ingram & Zubac look like they can be the great pickups we hoped they'd be.. I'm psyched.!!

Gonna be patient, but I'm optimistic.

trodgers's SL season ending performance numbers on Zubac. In the SL thread. We all should be Gobsmacked with our good fortune here. Especially if the Clippers passed on him. Those dumb MF ers. I almost consider this the final word and payback to them and Stern and Silver for the C. Paul f****** we got ......that we have picked up the next really good, maybe great Lakers center.

He is going to be bigger, better and more popular in L.A. than Vlade was. Book it.

Oh this is far from revenge on the "Basketball Reasons" front. Far far far from revenge. They need to be brought back to their rightful place in Los Angeles and then run out of town for me to be feel half-way vindicated about that situation. We underestimate today how much that move set us back.

Definitely. I'm just saying them passing on this HUGE draft pick decision that they strategically f**** up on with us getting Zubac instead of them, and him being a huge part of our retaking our dominant position as the team in L.A. ..... is going to be the gift that keeps on giving. Long after they've busted up that losing core and never again reach those levels even .... Zubac will be kicking their a**** down low often over the seasons to come. CP3 on the decline and they're not doing jack this year. It's OVER.

That's fine and dandy, but that rescinded trade kept Kobe from passing Jordan in championships and more importantly the Lakers passing the C Bags in overall championships. I like Zubac, but for me to ever see that as revenge he'd have to be a generational type big. I don't see that. I think he'll be a really good starting center and maybe eventually an All Star once or twice. That's just fine for a second round pick. Even if he's just a solid backup that would go down as a good pick.

Am saying us getting him instead of them when they could have taken him, and him making them miserable for the next decade .... is pretty damn cool! No, of course not it doesn't account for the totality of the Nuke the League and Clips dropped on us with the CP3 screwing.

    Zubac
    Randle
    Ingram
    Clarkson
    Russell

How awesome would it be if that lineup wins a title in 3 years? I know its not likely because as we improve, the big timers will want to come but that would be crazy if an all drafted team won a title for the Lakers. Those 5 all complement their skills perfectly too.

Highly unlikely, yeah, but that would be the dream. That would be the most ideal way to win a championship. All drafted guys, developed here, winning it for us.

Even if they don't win a title in 3 years, or ever, that's still incredibly successful drafting over a period of 3 years if they play any good amount of time together and are competitive. We will have filled every position through the draft with starting caliber players, and have guys improving on rookie contracts for a while still. If Russ and Ingram turn into real players for example, they'll both still be on rookie deals in 2 years.

I'm the most optimistic I've been in quite a while. They didn't completely punt in FA by bringing in some solid vets that will help us get closer to the playoffs and inspire these kids to be better on and off the court.

I feel like we have an amazing young core that is likely to produce atleast 1 and possibly multiple all stars. When the right deal presents itself Mitch will pounce and we'll be back in the hunt.

Lots to be excited for, nothing to be disappointed in no matter what the season outcome is with all the positives that will occur.
