Sasha was a career 37% shooter in LA. He has the third highest single season mark in Lakers history. C'mon now!

Nance is pushing him for that title but yeah he is playing well defensively. Didn't see ole Crazy Eyes in that interview ..... more like a real bright kid from Stanford. Would be great if he can find his offensive Mojo this year.

It would be nice. I like him. He works hard, he seems to want to improve, and he's a local kid. If it's any consolation, D. Green shot 26.7% from the three point line his first year. Middleton shot 31% his rookie year and the list goes on. However, those guys significantly improve their 2nd years in the NBA. Brown has to get to 36%. Absolutely has to in order to find decent minutes, IMO.

I liked what I saw out of him in that Golden State game. His shot won't fall, okay drive and create some contact going to the rim. Sometimes all it takes is seeing that ball go through the basket to open things up.

He shoots well in the corners which are the closest threes. I really think he's having a hard time adjusting to the NBA line which is surprising to me. It must be a mental block, but if he can't figure it out then he isn't an NBA player. I don't mind him being the 14th man for his positive locker room presence, but if he can't be a positive offensive player, he isn't staying in this league. If he can get to the basket a little bit that could buy him some time.

The "eff all our lives" you caught in my quote before I caught it and edited it out nearly immediately was one of those little "site saves every 10 seconds on our drafting of posts" gotchas. Just wanted to clarify. Nothing to do with Anthony Brown. Was going to post on something else don't even remember where about a week ago and did not. Should have just posted it and then deleted the post when it was a current thought. Ooops.

I think it was explained to me in a PM that there is an option while doing the draft to delete then. But seems maybe that only works on Chrome or other browsers, not Safari. Which is where I live on my Mac.

So what we've seen so far:

Zubac- Steal. No question. Has the talent and if he keeps developing he can be a true impact player in the NBA one day.
Russell- Looks great. In the SL he can score at will. Great confidence building for the young man.
Ingram- Tentative, but does a lot of things to help win games. The potential is there.
Nance Jr.- Looks fantastic. He's impacting the game in every facet. Perfect role player who is flashing potential for more.
    A. Brown- Borderline NBA player. We're desperately trying to get him looks and he's not getting it. Great defender though.

Auguste- Could be a new Sacre type. Absolutely worth a camp invite. I love his energy.

    J. Brown- Has been disappointing. He's not playing with the confidence he used to have. Doesn't look comfortable in this offense. Still worth a camp invite but...
Fall- A little interesting. He's sort of ponderous, but enormous and has pretty good defensive instincts. I'd stash him on the D-Fenders.
Munford- Uninspiring. He tends to control the ball too much. Not an NBA guy.
Lacey- Looks like an undersized SF or something. Not inspiring. Not an NBA guy.
Vernando- Smart and experienced, but not very talented. Auguste does everything Vernando can do, but better. Not an NBA guy.
Wragge- Has a pretty darn smooth stroke although I can't think of anything else he did in his limited time. I'd stash him on the D-Fenders, but it's a long shot.
    Wilson- Not an NBA guy.
Jovanovic- I don't remember him even a little bit.

We're guaranteed to play 5 games, whether we play Wednesday or Thursday next. The only way we play 6 games is if we're in the Championship of Summer League.

No, the bye is for tomorrow. We play on Thursday and if we lose then we play our last game on Friday. If we win then we play on Saturday. Sunday is the semi finals then the finals are Monday.

I like Auguste... A bit awkward but constantly active. Doesn't do anything eye popping but scraps for everything. Reminds me of Robin Lopez...

Anthony Brown? This season he will be asked to come in to cool off whoever is hot in spot minutes...that's all I can project about him. Brown's balance on his shot is off kilter...

Las Vegas Summer League standings (so far)

    Team WINS LOSSES PTS
    Chicago Bulls 2 0 6
    Los Angeles Lakers 3 0 7
    Brooklyn Nets 2 0 5
    Phoenix Suns 2 0 5
    San Antonio Spurs 2 0 5
    Toronto Raptors 3 0 9

Their are more teams, but they have losses.

Look at the points category. Raptors have 9 points (2 more than us). The exact formula is unknown to me, but I was told you get points based on winning quarters and point differential.

Anyone now the format used to get points? (and yes, I've tried googling it and can't find it)

    From last year: http://www.nba.com/news/2015-las-vegas-summer-league-game-rules-/

    Quarter Point System

    In each game:

    • 1 point is awarded to the team that scores more points than its opponent in a given quarter

    • ½ a point is awarded to both teams in the circumstance when the teams score the same number of points in a quarter

    • 0 points are awarded to a team that scores fewer points than its opponent in a given quarter

    • A total of 4 points are awarded for a given game

    > • No additional quarter points are awarded for winning the game

    > • No additional quarter points are awarded in the case of an overtime period (i.e., 4 quarter points are the maximum that a team can earn in a game).

    • At the conclusion of the preliminary round (3 games), a team can accrue between 0-12 quarter points

    ^^ Thanks bro.

I think it's a bad scoring system. You could win the game, but lose the point battle to your opponent 3 to 1.
