I hope people dont look at that stat line from Simmons and immediately say he had a so so game. If you watched that entire game, he made a play every time he touched the game and it usually was a great pass to a teammate. He missed some shots of course, but this is a perfect example of you cant look at the boxscore because its not a complete picture.

On another note, I am so giddy about tonight, tomorrow and Monday's game. I even took a half a day for work to get my body ready for this game tonight. Haha. So excited!

Never said Ben had a so so game. Saw only hl and some plays here and there but Simmons was my pick from the start ;). Now, i realy hope Ingram turns out a better player and a future HOF'er. We need someone to lead us back to the top again :).

Luke looks like he's going to go out there and play tonight.

Excited for the game but also tempering my expectations. Just going to watch for flashes while they develop chemistry and figure out the offense.

Ben Simmons so far is 4-17 (23%) from the field in the SL, mostly on layups lol..scoring 8ppg along with 7.5 Rebounds and 5.5 assists. Ist amazing to me how guys like Kyle Anderson come and absolutely tear everyone apart in SL but go to bench warming in the season. Then you see top draft picks come and struggle heavily in SL.

I went to Real GM and Philly fans are already thanking Hinkie for paving the way for a dynasty and making Colangelo look like a genious...lol.

They are happy that Simmons will be a fulltime PG...with Okafor at PF and Embiid at C...

    That team will be terrible.

So I met Luke Walton today. He was in the MGM gym. Gracious and humble. Talked to me and some friends for about 5 minutes. Such a cool moment.

That's so freaking cool. What did you talk about? Any inside info? More importantly, I hope you manned up before you talked to him.

Man I can't wait for this game to start. I know it's most likely going to be ugly as it's summer league and it usually is, but it's Laker basketball. Can't wait to see Ingram, Zubac, and how Russ has progressed.

simmons looks pretty badass. his shot is even worse than advertised, but man...that vision and speed. i'd play him at pg, too. re-revolutionize.

hope the lakers guys have something to show in their time.

Been waiting for you. Their arguing about Mo Speights in the Tarik Black thread; I know he's your favorite NBA player. :Kobe Snickering:

speights makes basketball jesus cry. i can't fathom why anyone would think of him as a useful piece, even his former 73-win team (who let him walk for the min).

anyway, back to summer league talk, where speights's fat a** wouldn't even make a half.

Just asked what he thought of the team and he said they're gonna surprise some people. Talked about our shoes (we were all wearing Kobes). He was working out so I waited until he was done before approaching him. Then got out of there so we didn't take up too much of his time.

I believe it too... Really considerate of you and your friends to give Walton space. I would have asked him if he still has his barbecue restaurant.

Although it will mostly be a chemistry building, systematic game, part of me wants Ingram to just flat out look dominant. 20+ points, defense, and a win.

Make the Sixers think twice about passing on him.
