Pretty much what Crabbe was reportedly signing for last week so not too surprising. I would've given him that money if we found a way to turn Lou into some assets, but I'm also perfectly fine preserving the money for next off-season.

I actually think Zaza & West are upgrades for the Warriors because they're both a bit more smash mouth, physical players than Bogut & Mo...
KD is a Massive upgrade over Barnes & Barbosa.. Ezili & Varajao are easily replaceable.

I don't see how this can possibly be seen as weakening GS..

Just have to change their slogan to: $trength in $$'s

The Crabbe deal is the final proof that the NBA has gone insane. I'd never even heard of the guy before we played Portland this season.

Me Neither. And these owners are about as stupid as they can get. They need to get rid of this cap crap and just open the market. Lebron and Durant and guys like Curry are the only ones who have any business making 30+ million. I still cant get over Mike Conley getting what he got. Is Memphis even worth 150 million?

Dude they added a top three player. When he's on as good as anyone in basketball. There's no reasonable argument for Golden State not being CLEARLY better than last season. They have four of the best players in the NBA on their roster and they still have Livingston and Iggy as well. Nobody is beating that team unless they get injured or split up.

    "1>0" You're agreeing with him.

5 stars deep. You can argue 4 super stars deep. They will add some decent vet mins too, make no mistake. Depth might hurt a bit in the season but they will still be #1 in the NBA in wins and that's all that matters. At any given time they can have 2 super stars playing even with one star injured. Come playoffs if healthy, where the rotations are shorter, it's gonna be a nightmare.

Who cares if their bench suffers? They've still got their two best reserves and they got a TOP THREE PLAYER. They cannot be beat.

Barring injury, the Golden State Warriors are going to destroy everyone next year. No doubt about it. Even the Cleveland Lebronaliers.

The Warriors just needed someone to play physical and step up with things starting getting rough. Someone to bang. Someone to crack skulls, be an enforcer, and finish through contact. They signed Durant, so it's all good.

They added Kevin Durant. Zaza can absolutely fill the Bogut role. West still has life. Plus, when a veteran gets bought out mid season, best believe they'll be going to GS.

    The Warriors will destroy people.

The Gooden interest shows me we want one more vet/mentor for the bigs.

Not sure why Portland was so desperate for a big...any big this summer. They swung for them all. Festus cost himself so much money this summer, it's ridiculous. He would've gotten starting C money if he didn't go MIA in the playoffs.

The deal for the crab...holy s***.

Also, Sacre will be a good cheerleader for someone. Guess Thibs might want him to replace a Noah in that capacity.

What's strange to me is wanting Gooden over Bass who was here last year. Maybe Bass would be too expensive? Maybe they didn't love the influence that Bass was last season? Not a strong enough influence?

Are we looking to sign another PF? Looks like we're 3 deep in every position (assuming Nick stays with the team) except PF. Or should I pencil Zach Auguste in?

I can't even imagine that. Bass is a hard worker, didn't seem to complain despite all the ridiculousness. Maybe they don't like what he gives on the court, but even that I can't see. It could well be the $$.

Gooden should be LOW on the list, unless he's one of those incredibly high character guys who doesn't expect to play and is here only to serve as a mentor.

I didn't think it made sense either so I'm guessing it has to be a money concern. Or like most of these types of things it could just be lip service and maybe we're not interested in him really at all. Who knows?

I'd think Bass was a good pro here and what he did everything our inept coaching asked for. I'd welcome him back as another good locker room presence to help these kids reach the next level.
