I'm also more open experimenting out there; I'd like to see Ingram at the 2 and 3. my preference would be Ingram at the 3 and Deng at the 4. Slide Randle or Nance to the 5. Lots of different options.

I think Jabari, if he can shine again and leave impact on the floor, is a good bet. We're familiar with him, he's been good to come back to us a few times now, and he'd be really cheap. I'm definitely curious what happens with Nick's contract. If we can buy him out I think he's a one-time cap hit this season, but gone the next so I'd prefer that too.
Definitely! I think that's part of the beauty of what GS does and it's something Luke must have been asking for.

    Clarkson- 1/2
    Russell- 1/2
    Ingram- 2/3/future 4
    Deng- 3/4
    Randle- 4/5
    Nance Jr.- 4/5
    A. Brown- 2/3

Definitely a lot of options we can play with.

Was listening to Termine and Eddie Johnson on the way into work today, show was probably from the afternoon before, so this may have mentioned already...

They were RIPPING the Mozgov / Deng signings. Calling it stupid, what were we thinking, yadda yadda blah blah blah. Termine kinda defended the Mozgov sign, but they were both calling the Deng contract stupid. Had no sense of the fact that our team needed a vet presence and that it could help Ingram develop. I was yelling at the radio.

Johnson is always an idiot, full of nonsense and contradictions, but Termine at least is usually a little more thoughtful.

Anyway.. rant over. So... Calderon eh? Nice.

I'd throw him a minimum contract and see if he wants to earn the back-up C spot over Tarik.

I'd invite Larry to camp and see just how serious he is about coming back. He left in a weird and awkward way.

It would be a flyer as Sanders has been away from the game for awhile with all that rust and timing he needs to work on...along with the drug issue that is probably hanging about him. We had that situation before last season with that rookie whose name escapes me at the moment. I'd rather give Jason Thompson a shot.

Thanks Kenzo. We also have another big on our Summer League team that T-Rod mentioned who might latch on. High motor.

I don't consider Larry Sanders as having a "drug problem." Liking the reefer is A LOT different than Upshaw's struggles.

That said, I give him a camp invite at most. He's been away from the game for so long that I'm not sure he can even earn the backup spot from Tarik at this point.

Auguste out of ND. He was in the video from yesterday with the bleached hair who dribbled off his own foot. I didn't watch him as much as @trodgers so I don't know if he's capable of this, but the coaches looked like they were asking him to handle the ball a bit. He didn't really look capable of it.

You're correct and I agree...their situations are different. Still, I do hope Sanders is in a better place as of this writing. He did pen a very well thought out article about his struggles. It would be a two way sword with him...either he can mentor the kids on his plight or lead them there.

That's the guy... It's only a "feel out" practice by the coaching staff on who could do what and who couldn't.

yeah and regardless of the drug debate, the fact remains that marijuana is illegal in the context of the NBA so it's still relevant in this discussion. I was just playing devil's advocate.

It's cool...I get your drift. With the recent two year ban of Mayo whose addictions I am not versed on, I'm wary of mixing players with issues with our young core. I reckon we are trying to rid of Young...so there's a starting point.

No it isn't. Both Dirk Niwotzki and Steve Nash have been 50/40/90 players, and they were teammates in Dallas.
