They either load real slow for me, like reeeeal slow, or they don't, I'm on iPhone. Usually I have to click on the tweet and watch the videos in the Twitter app or Twitter.com. The embedded Vines especially get stuck more than any other on my phone.

YAY!!! Clips of our guys this year without Boron's actually visible to the naked eye stench on them. Woot woot wooot!!

    Couple thoughts.

1st. For all you "vertical video" takers with your phones.... STOP. You're killing us. See 1st clip above ... Normal...good to fit on a TV screen. See 2nd clip. Good for nothing pretty much except fans like us desperate for footage of any kind .... even the bad kind. :Kobe Snickering:

2nd. Interesting for sure. Brandon the guy that was always a guard at heart, like so many these days, when asked what changed about that said in his press conference, "I kept growing". The fact is not wasted on the staff with BI out there on the perimeter as a guard matching up against DAR. Talk about flexibility with this kid, he probably could play some 1 or 2 in a pinch once he gets some NBA action under his belt.

I was pretty impressed with not only Russell's ability in the post, but his willingness to go in it toward the end of last year.

I think it was Kobe who told him that could be a weapon for him. He's bigger than most PGs so D'Angelo should be able to use it. We also are going to run some Triangle sets this year where it could be helpful.

Some GREAT quotes in there about Ingram.

The article ends with Ingram on Summer League play: “If you’re not trying to win," he said, "there’s no point in playing.".

    Mostly garbage, but...

-Ingram as the primary ball-handler for White was interesting.
-White ran some back screen action that got Jabari Brown an open 3, then on the next play Ingram was open but the big missed him.
-Purple ran Motion Weak a couple of times, one of which led to an open 3 by #10 after post entry to Fall by Russell.
-Purple ran a Double Drag screen in transition on that Nance 3. That's the sort of thing I'm looking for this summer...I want them to at least get the transition concepts down.
-Purple got out into transition very well.
-I'd like to see Randle making outlet passes more often rather than grab & go. We should have guys running up the wings, but don't yet.

A lot of standing around in the half court.

    Some commentary from GT

Have we ever had a young player that made the roster into meaningful rotation minutes, much less a starter .....play 3 straight years in the summer league? Dude had areas to get better in but he did average a double double in spite of playing for a MORON that derailed him in November right when he was starting to take off. I don't know how others feel but I feel he has earned his stripes.

Both are fair points. I don't doubt Julius will be working hard though. He'll figure it out and he's still doing USA Select at the end of the month.

nance's comments about ingram were really interesting and encouraging--and wise, imo. you do what you can with what you have. sounds like ingram gets that already. all this obsessing over putting on weight, just do what you can and play to your strengths. he's got a lot of them.

Russell is smart and he knows he can't out-speed other more athletic guards, so he will work on what makes him effective. Its a bit of a Kobe-thing there.

They edited this vid for strategic reasons. They're hiding Zubac, who dominated every play in the 42 minutes of footage that wasn't seen.

    :D

He hasn't practiced yet because his buyout paperwork hasn't gone through. They're trying to get it done before Friday so he can practice and play their first game.

In that video around 4:45 when it looks like DLO airballs, thats the play he referenced in his interview that Ingram blocked and Russell didn't know how because he looked like he had a clear open shot. You can hear him asking Ingram "You blocked that?"
