    I wouldn't be too concerned with that. Knicks fans pretty much hate all of their players because they always have unrealistic expectations.

    I mean maybe they were justified in wanting to get rid of him in the sense that he probably shouldn't be a starting PG playing 30 minutes a game at his age. But as a back-up playing 15-20 mpg and providing some veteran leadership for our young guards? Nothing to complain about here.

    So, roster right now I believe, missing anyone?

    Russ/Calderon
    JC/Lou/Young(?)
    Deng/Ingram/Brown
    Randle/Nance/Black
    Mozgov/Zubac

    Can add another big as injury insurance, get rid of Young and add replacement wing.

    Is he? I thought making him restricted just means he's a free agent and we can match if he signs elsewhere. I'd be ok if he was kept if we're going for a 15 man roster, we're kind stacked at guard but whatever. I edited my post to say maybe add another C or big as injury insurance as Mozgov has the knee thing and Zubac is young, and get rid of nick and maybe replace him with another wing, don't know who. Take a chance on some D-Leaguers if we don't want to spend money? Look for summer league standouts? Other salary dump players?

    We'll the QO stays on our cap so for now it's a technicality. We can rescind that QO and then he's an UFA and he's off our books.

    I'd say we could use another body anywhere and I'd be glad to give that a pot to whoever stands out in camp. Jabari Brown is still interesting.

    I hope it's Jabari. As much fun as Metta is to have around, Jabari is a better player at this point and now he really fills a need.

    move black down to c. another f/c wouldn't hurt. maybe bass returns? someone at that level? i'd expect zubac to play zero minutes this year unless catastrophe hits. mozgov and black can't man the c spot by themselves for 82 games. maybe a sacre-level guy or maybe a spencer hawes dump?

    could keep huertas around to keep calderon company? aside from pf/c, i don't see a glaring need. i suppose a wing to replace young, preferably a 2/3.

    II think Zubac gets SOME run. I think a guard is needed. We only have 4 guards right now. None of our sfs can really slide back there like Kobe and Swaggy could.

    Yeah I wasn't sure where to put Black, but I'd agree

    Mozgov/Black/Zubac. I don't want a Sacre level guy though, I think Zubac is the new Sacre, they've already said he came here to play, not to go to the D-League. I'm not sure on Jabari though, Russ, JC, Lou, Ingram can all play the 2 already, and he's not a PG. I don't see a glaring need either, but with Deng/Ingram/Brown at SF, and only Randle and Nance at PF, agreed, maybe one more there. My only thing is we've heard about small ball lineups where Deng plays PF too, and with so many interchangeable position players on this team, I'm not sure of our one biggest need left.

    I like this idea better than going with only Marcelo. But I would also be okay with having both. If Calderon or Russell gets hurt having a pass first PG would be nice insurance.

    "Sacre-level guy" implies you'd be okay with Sacre himself back. Hell no. I'd much rather just throw Zubac in if someone got hurt, or just bring up a D-League guy on a 10 day contract if we needed it.

    looking at the roster, david lee on a sizable one-year deal interests me. 4 and smallball 5, knows luke/gs system, was underrated last year.
