How in the flying **** is Gilbert going to pay him the over 20M he says he wants after years of taking pay cuts to play with this Cat? Or .... he plays with LeEmperor again for a fraction of what he deserves and where are HIS balls?

That second sentence is a huge bummer today, but tomorrow I'll be over it. Heck probably later today when I've had more coffee.

I'm still very, very, very excited about our young group. I know the rest of the basketball world thinks we're a laughing stock right, but I can't wait to prove them wrong.

I mean they played it basically the same as we did with slightly different needs. Sure they went after Barnes, but they needed a youngish guy with upside and we've got ours. They went after Bogut, but my understanding is that Golden State was unhappy with him and were desperate to be rid of him. In fact I hate that move for Dallas because they helped GS get better and didn't force more assets out of them.

As for Dirk, he took what would have been a 15 million dollar deal last year. To me that's crazy. He's worth probably twice that. Good on him for taking a half-market deal, but I wouldn't ask or expect that of most people. A slight pay cut is one thing, but half? I don't know.

I think they have the mini-MLE worth about 3 million. So Wade can take 3 million to ring chase or 40 million to retire in Miami.

    Tough call.

Someone on LG said that reportedly Miami and Cleveland are discussing a Wade-Love swap.

That could be fun. It would indicate probably the end of Bosh's career though which is a bummer.

Next step: trade Kyrie for Paul and LeBron is well on his way to a banana boat.

How about 46 million for 2 with 2nd PO to retire in L.A. on a better team?

I think he'd prefer to stick it out with Miami instead of the extra 6 million. He's familiar there, it's home to him, and they'll still be marginally competitive in the East.

For me, Durant signing in GS, made the Lakers/C Bags/TWolves/76ers/Bucks/Jazz/NOP in the best position in the league.
I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the rosters of any playoff team right now. The Championship is locked for the next 5 years , so suddenly every rebuilding team that has young assets are in the best position. The superteam in GS would explode in 3-5 years, exectly the time for one of the teams I mentioned to hit the jackpot with talent.

So right now i'm just gonna watch the Lakers and enjoy the process. There's not gonna be playoff games this year. Maybe next year we can reach the 7-8th seed. Maybe the year after we can get the 4-5 seed. But you just know the talent the Lakers have will only get better in time and will reach it's peak when GS and the Cavs will be at their downfall.

That's a pretty good deal. Henderson is a solid vet for them.

I think that Kyrie ended that talk about trading him for CP3.

Bron could just pay his best-buddy Wade 10 million on the side (heck with the rules -who is gonna know?). lol

Bron went to Cle because he felt that Kyrie and Love were better than aging Wade and Bosh. He is always trying to create a super-team with a big-3 or more.

Still can't believe the Cavs won. Such a weird set of circumstances when they were down 3-1. Green suspended - Bron and Kyrie find rhythm and confidence. GS running on empty in the last 2 games - trying to make up for Green being out game 5, Steph playing at 80%, Bogut out, Iggy hurt, and Barnes disappearing. They ran out of gas, AND the Cavs stepped up their game.

Everything West said was spot on. Bron has 3 - been on super-teams with at least 3 all-stars (and two super-stars). Same with Wade. Kobe. MJ. Bird. Magic. Want a dynasty - join a team with other all-stars. Want to be Dirk, Paul P, Chauncey, or Jerry West - stay in OKC and fight like heck to win one, if you are lucky.

    I like what KD did.

What is interesting now is watching Bron try to respond - knowing full well that his team got lucky (and League help) to win it last year.

I don't know, but while they are certainly a juggler's knot just like Super Friends were in Miami ..... never forget the Not 1, Not 2, Not 3, Not ...? prognostications from them and the NBA hype machine that wound up not being the reality. But having Jerry freaking West there closing deals with Superstars and ring chasers alike .... IS what might allow it to happen.
