    ^^^ So then hopefully we win 30 games this year and if we give the 76ers our first round pick we get to keep our 2019 pick? Confusing.

    If we keep our pick this season, then the Sixers get our 2018 pick no protections and the Magic get our 2nd round pick and the 2nd round pick in 2018. That's our best case scenario probably.

    If we lose the pick, we keep our 2018 pick, and the Magic get our 2019 pick. In this second scenario we at least get to keep our 2nd rounders.

    So no matter what we're losing at least one first round pick in the next three years, possibly two. Ugh incredibly frustrating, that we still have to suffer for trades we made 4 years ago. Hopefully there won't be much talent in the next 3 drafts.

    hopefully, the lakers won't be so high. anything outside the top ten isn't at all worth crying about. i mean, it sucks, as it's a shot you don't get to take, but it's a contested 20-footer.

    Lakers have something bigger to play for. And that involves a 4 at the beginning of the win column. Forget about the draft. They had luck 3 years in a row. I do not think we are going to have luck 4 years in a row and this team needs to start winning now. Lakers need to win 40 to have a shot at Westbrook. They need to make a huge jump. Otherwise, we lose out on Westbrook and more than likely lose out on the pick.

    So a couple quick notes:
    - I know we laughed at it before, but he really really really loved his 5 minute conversation with Luke. He won't shut up about it. Luke promised him a big role in the team (great since he was on the bench last season) and the Lakers promised him dough. He's very serious about how happy he is to be here.
    - Unlike Den, Mozgov is pretty much unaware of our youngsters. :D
    - I don't think we should have any fear of him being fat and happy on his contract. You can just feel how genuine he is in what he says and I think he's going to give us what he has, whatever that is. He probably won't go down as a Laker great big man, but he'll be someone we appreciate I think.

    I'm just going to keep saying it, Mozgov is going to be a big help. You can use all the smoke and mirrors you have but if you are weak in the middle you are going to get punished at any level of basketball. With Mozgov, Black, Randle, Nance and eventually big Z, or whatever LT calls him...lol we are going to be able to at least hold our own on the boards against most teams. If you can rebound and play defense you can be competitive.

    First off, I laughed and couldn't agree more with your notes about him really loving his talk with Luke, I picked that up as well reading the article and just wanted to let you know your comment about it made me laugh.
