It's not really fascinating. I mean why jump ship to a team you literally nearly beat and let's face it Durant along with Westbrook is why they didn't win. They flat out choked as much as I love them they came up small and reverted to hero ball when it mattered most.

If the ancient lesser skilled Barbosa thrived in a similar scheme...then you could be right that Williams will have similar success or even better. I still would want a competent point guard to spell Russell. Not really keen on Huertas.

    Well there you go.

Definitely worth a read. A lot of things that have been brought up here, but I did like some of the points that Mosgov has the potential to be even better on the right team.

Simmons did so because he probably couldn't bear writing such an objective piece...and that it makes sense too. Warms my heart that it likely pains him.

bill simmons is just (imo, unjustifiably) giddy over the horford signing, so he's feeling charitable. he's still a laker-hating douche.

Are the Lakers actively looking for someone else right now? If they can trade Young I think that would be good. Then they can sign Bass and a good back up Point and they should be done.

    Mosgov/Black/Zubacca
    Randle/Bass/Nance Jr.
    Ingram/Deng/Brown
    Clarkson/Williams
    Russell/Free Agent Point Guard

13 man team right there. Then fill out the last roster spot(s) with some unknowns from summer league or camp.

Barbosa is definitely part of why I think Lou will do well under Walton

And Fisher. And Horry for Lake Havasu. And made Rick Fox comfortable taking the minimum for a few years, promising him a larger piece instead of taking 20+ million in Cleveland. And that is just recent memory. Nevermind the stuff he did in the 80s.

never quite understood why Laker fans wanted Lou traded. The guy is a 6th man of the year. He is instant offense off the bench. Those are the guys you want sustaining leads when the starters are resting at the beginning of the 2nd and 4th quarters. Keep Lou no matter what.

Well the knock on Horford is that he comes up small in the post-season. We'll see if that form holds true. The East may be weaker than the West standards wise but Whiny Ainge's team is still a middling group.

I'm okay with keeping Lou, but he's a pretty awful defender, and he's a black hole on offense.

The deal with Lou is simple: don't start him. Keep him on your bench as your sixth man, and he'll perform well against opposing bench units.

Just need him to cover leads. And if he is hot, run with him. If he isn't, that's why he is a good role player. Sit his arse down.

...maybe Williams won't free lance as much under Walton who will preach ball movement. Defensively? Well, that's a whole lotta 'nother matter.

so...i know crabbe may be off the table, but why aren't we just generally pillaging porltand? leonard and harkless are also interesting RFAs, and i actually like gerald henderson's game. they can't keep them all at the price they'll command; maybe let's get in on that.

I'm fine with Lou. Good salary for his scoring, and I don't worry about him being a clown. That's important.

Lakers need a back up point guard. Someone for 10 million per? 2 years with a 2nd year team option. Anyone out there that would take that deal?

In for Henderson...balanced overall game, plays within himself and doesn't do stupid out there.
